Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 98, from July 2012.

With a growing wealth disparity across the U.S. as the middle class moves out of expensive states or is significantly reduced to poverty in other areas, there comes ripe ground for a battle between the “haves” and “have-nots.” It is becoming more and more important to protect oneself and family from rising crime. Jason Hartman is joined on this episode by self-defense expert, Alex Haddox, to discuss best practices in self-defense. The first point that Alex addresses is awareness and avoidance, which are key to survival. Based on the military alertness color code, there are five levels of awareness, white, yellow, orange, red, and black. White is a total lack of awareness and black is being stunned and unable to react. Listen at: www.HolisticSurvival.com for Alex’s life-saving advice. Alex talks about the importance of women’s safety, high vulnerability situations, particularly bars, and stresses avoidance is the best solution. Jason and Alex also discuss home security, with lighting being the first step in deterring a home invasion. Alex goes on to explain other security steps homeowners can take, but most importantly, once again stressing awareness as the best defense.

Alex Haddox took his first martial arts lesson at age ten. He has over sixteen years of combined traditional martial arts training in multiple styles including American Kenpo, Hapkido and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. He has studied under world-renowned masters including: Grand Master Bong Soo Han, Grand Master Larry Tatum, Senior Master of the Art Mohamad Tabatabai, Master Bill Green, Master Eric Friske, Master Danny Cruz, and Jim Wagner.

Mr. Haddox teaches both traditional martial arts and Jim Wagner’s Reality-Based Personal Protection system. He believes there are a place and a need for both in today’s complex and often dangerous environments. Each type of training offers their own benefits and equally valid point of view to the student.
In a previous career, Mr. Haddox was the Product Manager and co-founder of the Symantec AntiVirus Research Center (SARC). He was considered one of the world’s leading computer virus experts, traveled worldwide on speaking engagements and appeared on national television programs, including Good Morning America, CNBC, the Discovery Channel and Fox News Network.

His work and personal life have taken him all over the globe including countries in North America, Europe, Africa and South America. He has seen some of the world’s greatest cities and walked the streets of some of the most underprivileged. His experience has taught him that safety starts with knowing how to conduct yourself and what to be aware of, not necessarily where you are.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 67 with James Jaeger, from January 2012.

Jason Hartman interviews film producer, James Jaeger, regarding the new documentary, “The Spoiler.” James discusses the philosophical underpinnings of our society over the last 100 years, dividing it into two categories: Libertarian Conservative Era and the Progressive Era. Jason and James tackle the question, how can so many people be fooled into this latter system, one of big government and Keynesian economics, for decade after decade, and no matter which political party is in power, they still apply the same philosophies, the same economics? Visit: www.HolisticSurvival.com. James talks about how he and his partners found the conclusion to be powerful philosophers, most especially three major philosophers, Jean-Jaques Rousseau, Auguste Comte, and Karl Marx, to be the influence. These and other philosophers laid the groundwork of these eras and slowly indoctrinated people through the decades. “They basically undermined the whole viewpoint of the individualist, strong, free economic society that we had going from the birth of the nation,” says James. Comte’s influence was the greater good, or altruism. Rousseau wrote the book, Social Contract, (democracy.) Karl Marx twisted Comte’s greater good to be for the greater good of the State (communism). We have been brought slowly through the years into an increasingly welfare – warfare, totalitarian-type civilization with centralized planning, etc.

Jason and James also discuss outsourcing, fractional reserve, taxes, GDP, illegal labor, and many other topics that are a result of the culmination of philosophers and political thinkers through the years. The film, “Spoiler,” offers an explanation of why no third political party has been successful since 1860, and discusses a platform that is based on the political strategies of Nelson Hultberg that could bring a win to a third party and end the current two-party system. James Jaeger is a Telly Award-winning filmmaker, having produced such documentaries as “Fiat Empire,” which featured Rep. Ron Paul and Dr. Edwin Vieira, and “Original Intent,” which featured Ted Baehr, Pat Buchanan, G. Edward Griffin, Ron Paul, and Edwin Vieira. The new “Spoiler” documentary features some of these same experts, among many others, such as Jack Rooney, John Williams, and Chuck Baldwin. James is the founder of Matrixx Productions. James founded the production company to continue goals set forth by Lee Garmes, Academy Artists, Inc., and the Independent Screen Producers Association, of which James is a founding member. James graduated from The Haverford School and The Cinema Institute. He also majored in Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated summa cum laude in filmmaking at Los Angeles City College. He worked personally with Award winning cinematographer-director-producer, Lee Garmes, who became one of James’ most important mentors. James holds a management degree from Celebrity Centre in Hollywood and has written and published five books and a 98-volume training manual on motion picture production and operations. James is also a pioneer in broadband distribution of motion pictures over the Internet and a founder of Pay-Per-View.com.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 113, from December 2012.

Jason Hartman interviews author and artist, Paul Levy, regarding his intense experience with what was deemed bi-polar mental illness, his spiritual awakening, and the journey to free himself from the psychiatric world.  Wetiko is an indigenous term used by Native Americans to describe spiritual evil. Due to an intense personal trauma suffered a few years before, Paul had a life-changing spiritual awakening in 1981 that was misdiagnosed as a chemical imbalance and manic-depressive (bi-polar) illness. He was hospitalized numerous times and told he was having a severe psychotic breakdown and would have to live with his illness for the rest of his life. Paul explains how he became aware that, indeed, he was not suffering from a mental illness, but a spiritual awakening (Wetiko) and found spiritual teachers that helped him through his spiritual breakthrough. For more about his amazing story, listen at:  www.HolisticSurvival.com. Paul talks about one of the chapters in his book, “Vampire Squid Economics,” which he describes as a perfect symbol of what happens when Wetiko gets into business.

An artist, after the trauma of his shamanic break-down/through, he became a certified art teacher. Due to his intense interest in the work of C. G. Jung, by the end of the decade he found himself the manager of the C. G. Jung Foundation Book Service in New York, as well as the advertising manager for the Jungian journal Quadrant. In the fall of 1990, he moved to Portland, Oregon. In 1993, after many years of struggling to contain and integrate his non-ordinary experiences, Paul started to openly share his insights about the dream-like nature of reality. He began giving talks and facilitating groups based on how life is a shared waking dream that we are all co-creating and co-dreaming together. He is the founder of the ‘Awakening in the Dream’ Community in Portland, Oregon. He facilitates a number of ‘Awakening in the Dream Groups’ every week, which are groups of people who are awakening to the dreamlike nature of reality who are realizing that they can come together in a way that helps everyone deepen and stabilize their lucidity even further. A wounded healer in private practice, he assists others who are also awakening to the dream-like nature of reality.

Paul is a pioneer in the field of spiritual emergence. A Tibetan Buddhist practitioner for over 30 years, he has intimately studied with some of the greatest spiritual masters of Tibet and Burma. He is the author of The Madness of George Bush: A Reflection of Our Collective Psychosis.

In early August, 2017, James Damore was fired from Google for writing the now famous #GoogleMemo. In it he documented Google's internal echo chamber, some of the dangers the companies policies toward men and women present, and some suggestions for how to change moving forward. The document wasn't received as he had hoped, however, and he was fired after the memo went viral.

In this 10th episode, Jason Hartman talks to James about the dangers of a company as big as Google becoming something akin to a thought police, whether algorithms should be public, what parts of the memo were ignored by the media (but incredibly important), and why we're seeing less and less diversity of thought in the world today.

Key Takeaways:

[2:38] How the Google memo came along

[6:06] People talk about diversity, but don't surround themselves with any diversity of thought

[7:42] An overview of the memo and what people considered so offensive

[13:49] Some aspects of the Google memo were ignored by the media

[15:46] We need to stop defining success solely in monetary terms, and women are now facing the stress related health concerns previously almost exclusively held by men

[19:32] If we don't acknowledge, and celebrate, our differences as people, EVERYONE loses

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 144, from May 2013.

Eleven out of 50 states have now introduced resolutions into their state legislatures calling on Congress to pass Marcy Kaptur's H.R. 129 to re-instate Glass-Steagall, and South Dakota has become the first state to pass the resolution through both houses.

Jason interviews Michael Kirsch of LaRouche PAC about the efforts to reinstate the act. These resolutions have broad bi-partisan support, as the matter or bankruptcy reorganization of the banking system is a matter of national prosperity.  Here is a state by state breakdown of co-sponsors for state resolutions, and national co-sponsors of Kaptur's bill. These were inspired by normal citizens contact their elected representatives with the great need for action, and the more state legislators which can be inspired to put pressure in this way on Congress, the better.  Glass-Steagall will enable the commercial banking system, though with a shrunken but purified capital, to become an agency of a national credit system guided by a chief lending institution for national infrastructure projects and associated industries. Listen for more information at: www.HolisticSurvival.com.

Michael has written for a new credit Bank of the United States to lend for national industry and agriculture, modeled on the system of public credit of Alexander Hamilton, Mathew Carey, and John Quincy Adams, and Roosevelt's Reconstruction Finance Corporation's industrial loans. A video presentation of the history is available. It would broaden and define the guiding boundaries of the economy as a permanent coordinating agency for credit agreements, rather than serve as a special emergency institution.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 73, originally published in January, 2012.

Join Jason Hartman as he interviews Andy Ramirez, founder and president of the Law Enforcement Officers Advocates Council, regarding the legal struggles that border patrol law enforcement officers face with illegal immigration and drug smugglers. As insane as it sounds, border patrol has been told it’s not their job to catch illegal immigrants. Andy relates how the policies coming down from the Presidential administrations are not in support of stopping illegal border crossings, how the War on Drugs is nothing more than words, and how the chain of command, from the administration to Homeland Security to border patrol, is stacked in opposition to the real purpose of border patrol law enforcement. Andy shares numerous examples of actual situations and court cases in which law enforcement officials have been unjustly hit with investigations on trumped up charges, convicted and sent to prison for doing their jobs. When charges can’t be filed, officers may be fired or moved to other departments. For more details, listen at www.HolisticSurvival.com. The system is set up to turn the good guys into bad guys and the bad guys into good guys. Under the current system, it is no wonder drugs flow so freely into the United States. Andy also talked about security compromises, inaccurate information from DHS, and border corruption, including being asked to testify the truth in the House and Senate because the Chief of Border Control wouldn’t tell the truth. Andy discusses with Jason ways to fix these problems, starting with infrastructure changes.

Andrew “Andy” Ramirez is the founder and president of the 501c3 non-profit Law Enforcement Officers Advocates Council, which he founded in 2008 as a follow-up to his original non-profit law enforcement officers advocacy organization Friends of the Border Patrol. FOBP was initially created to support the Border Patrol and their agents, while improving the quality of life for border residents. As FOBP’s role expanded over the years to include all law enforcement officers, LEOAC is the next evolution in law enforcement advocacy. Andy continues to focus on improving national security at and between the ports of entry as well as along our coastlines, including Puerto Rico. His is a recognized expert on Customs and Border Protection. Andy is a trusted conduit of information between Congressional leaders and those on the front lines. Andy’s work has led to a number of Congressional bills that address border security policies to help America’s law enforcement officers. These bills enhance enforcement of laws and help remove obstructionist policies and red tape. Andy has uncovered numerous issues, becoming known as the “Defender of Border Patrol Agents”, which now includes all law enforcement officers. He has defended numerous officers that were unjustly prosecuted, terminated, and persecuted for doing their jobs, especially whistleblowers. Some of the issues that were discovered included suppression of evidence, abuse of power, suborning of perjury, ignoring Supreme Court rulings, illegal criminal alien violaters who broke laws and were protected by DOJ/DHS during prosecutions of agents/officers.

Andy joined the Liberty News Network as their National Correspondent in October 2010. He has given many appearances on TV and radio over the years. He also authored a comprehensive report titled “Unjustifiable and Impeachable, The FOBP Report on DHS, DOJ, and the Courts.” Andy was instrumental in the prison release of former Border Patrol Agents Ramos and Compean, and he has been extensively involved in the Jesus Enrique Diaz case. Andy has been featured frequently on CNN’s Lou Dobbs, FNC’s Fox and Friends, Neil Cavuto, and Hannity & Colmes. He has also been a guest on such programs as Michael Reagan, G. Gordon Liddy, Laura Ingraham, as well as many local TV networks and Talk Radio shows across the country.

The Tuttle Twin series is aimed at taking important pieces of adult literature and distilling them into key points to emphasize in a way a child can understand.

Jason and Connor dive into subject matter including how government and powerful entities erode our freedoms through fear, whether cryptocurrencies will stick around for the long haul, and how we can actually act to improve our situation.

Key Takeaways:

[2:40] Critical thinking is on the outs in our society

[5:24] The way the system has been set up is totally rigged and takes too much effort to fully understand

[9:22] As a society we have no incentives to change our ways

[11:20] Connor's life as a prepper was not a healthy one, and why he likes cryptocurrency

[14:32] Jason doesn't believe cryptocurrency will truly catch on because it's a director competitor with central banks and governments

[18:46] Will governments shut down cryptocurrencies?

[21:48] The government is eroding our freedoms in the name of "protecting the little people"

What happens when the government plays doctor? Join Jason Hartman as he interviews the producer of the documentary, “Sick & Sicker,” Logan Darrow Clements. Logan went to Canada and interviewed doctors, patients, journalists, and even a doctor who went on a hunger strike, to find out how well a government-run healthcare system actually works. He shares some of his findings with Jason and encourages Americans to pay attention to the cold hard facts and downfalls of Obamacare. He discusses the similarities between Obamacare and Canada’s government-run healthcare system. In his film, he even shows how supply and demand do not match up in a medical system run by politicians. Long waits in doctors’ offices, hospitals, and clinics ensue and some treatments can take months to be approved, if they’re approved at all. Anyone in America receiving government healthcare through Medicare and Medicaid already knows the pitfalls and high cost of government interference, where some medications and treatments are denied and the patient must come up with the money from their own pocket to treat a condition or even save their own life.

Logan Darrow Clements is an entrepreneur and managing member of Freestar Movie, LLC in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from the University of Rochester in Economics in 1991 and William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing in 1992. He is best known for his “Lost Liberty Hotel” project, a rebellion against eminent domain abuse in 2005 that involved him trying to seize the house of Supreme Court Justice David Souter using his own ruling in the Kelo vs. City of New London case.

If you want an early peak into a respected year end review, then you need to listen to what Professor David Collum has to tell Jason Hartman. The two discuss the dangerous situation that's being created by entities like the Fed and our own government that will lead to disastrous implications. The problem is, nobody knows when the can will be allowed to stop. We've been able to stave it off for years now, but the bill will come due at some point.

The two also look into the idea of "free speech" on college campuses and how to solve the intolerance shown by the left in that regard, as well as why Warren Buffett continues to lie about the equity market.

Key Takeaways:

[3:08] The merits of price gouging, and why price gouging laws are destructive

[6:12] The issue of free speech on college campuses, and whether it actually exists today

[10:43] If you want to solve the issue with students shouting down speakers, the administrators need to grow a backbone and punish the violators

[14:01] The metrics that show if equities are overpriced are fraudulent

[16:12] David is looking at a 50-70% reduction in the equities market

[19:22] What would happen to the economy if the Fed actually raised rates to something like 4%, and why it's a completely different world than when Voelker gave the economy its "hard medicine"

Google has created many incredible and intuitive products to make our lives easier. But at what cost to people’s privacy? They can take pictures of your house; they can track your searches and emails to bring you ads and information relevant to your habits and content, and much more. Jason Hartman welcomes Scott Cleland, author of Search and Destroy, on this episode to discuss the dark side of Google. Scott has been researching Google since its inception, as they bought their way to the top. “Google tends to think that doing good or being good is a license to do wrong,” says Scott. Google has created a huge degree of trust, but has the most outrageous legal, fraud, infringement, and anti-trust and privacy violations track record of all public companies. Scott shares some of the situations in which Google was participating in criminal activities. For more details, please listen at: www.HolisticSurvival.com. Google has obtained an incredible amount of power over online information.

Jason asks Scott to explain Google’s relationship with the government. The U.S. government can obtain whatever private, intimate information that Google has without any warrant or subpoena. It boils down to a lack of security and an invasion of privacy. Scott says they know you better than your own family, online and offline, and the vast amount of information they collect puts people at risk. It seems so convenient that Google knows your search patterns, but is the convenience worth the loss of personal privacy? It definitely raises the security risk and proposes a conflict of interest. As Scott describes, anywhere there is a centralization of power, bad things happen. Scott Cleland is the world’s leading Google critic. Cleland has testified before Congress three times about Google. He publishes GoogleMonitor.com and Googleopoly.net, and authors the widely read PrecursorBlog.com. As President of Precursor LLC, he consults for Fortune 500 clients. A former #1 ranked Institutional Investor independent analyst known for spotting early on why the Internet dotcom bubble would burst, Cleland was also the first analyst invited to testify before Congress about the missed warning signs of Enron’s fraud and bankruptcy. Fortune profiled Cleland as “ahead of the pack in raising questions about WorldCom’s debt, profitability, and survival.” Cleland is a former U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Information and Communication Policy. He lives in the Washington D.C. area with his wife and two children.

Jason Hartman talks with former Congressional candidate Jenny Worman about some of the aspects that just don't add up. The two discuss societies views on conspiracy theories, and why we can't just rely on mainstream media to give us the whole story.

Key Takeaways:

[2:12] Some of the things about the explanation of the Las Vegas shooting that seems strange to Jenny

[5:41] We shouldn't marginalize conspiracy theories immediately

[8:40] There were some strange movements in the equity markets in the days leading up to the shooting

[11:57] Some of the more conspiracy theories that make the most sense to Jason and Jenny

[15:08] The media just doesn't mention a lot of the irregularities about the shooting

[18:52] ISIS seems like a great candidate for who is responsible for the shooting

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 103, from August 2012.

Jason Hartman is joined by author and World Net Daily staff reporter, Jerome Corsi, for a discussion about abiotic oil, population control, the origins of the ACLU and many other topics. Listen at: www.HolisticSurvival.com. Jerome Corsi has authored many books, including The Great Oil Conspiracy, Where’s the Birth Certificate?, Unfit for Command, and The Late Great U.S.A. In the first part of the show, Dr. Corsi shares research about abiotic oil, which is a theory that oil is formed from chemical reactions in the Earth’s mantle, a process discovered by the Nazis and suppressed by the U.S. Government. Dr. Corsi says there is abundant naturally occurring oil and natural gas supplies, using as example oil that is seeping up from the Earth’s mantle in Saudi Arabia.
Jason and Dr. Corsi talk about population control and population growth, how the extreme environmentalists say the Earth cannot sustain its current population. Dr. Corsi says the Earth is not dying; the Earth regenerates and naturally controls population. He explains how liberal tendencies, such as fascism, Marxism, socialism ideals, cause depressions, lead to wars and dividing populations, and are usually combined with eugenics that lead to genocide. Governments won’t acknowledge that people do not need to be controlled. They stifle human creativity in the name of spreading the wealth.

Dr. Corsi also discusses the origins and intentions of the ACLU, which has resulted in a perversion of liberty, enforcing a kind of socialism under the guise of civil rights. He explores the holes in evolution, referencing the extinction and reappearance of the Cambrian Period in a relatively short geological time period, rather than the millions of years in which Darwinism proposes evolution occurs between extinct species.
Dr. Corsi received a Ph.D. from Harvard University in Political Science in 1972. He is currently a Senior Staff Reporter for World Net Daily, where he works as an investigative reporter. He is also a senior managing director at Gilford Securities, a full-service boutique investment firm providing financial services to institutional and retail clients.

For 10 years after getting his Ph.D. at Harvard, Dr. Corsi taught in universities, the last being the University of Denver in 1981, and conducted university-based research under federally funded contracts. For nearly 25 years beginning in 1981, Dr. Corsi worked with banks throughout the United States and around the world to develop financial services marketing companies to assist banks in establishing broker/dealers and insurance subsidiaries to provide financial planning products and services to their retail customers. Dr Corsi is an expert on political violence and terrorism. In 1981, he received a Top Secret clearance from the Agency for International Development, where he assisted in providing anti-terrorism training to embassy personnel. In 2004, Dr. Corsi co-authored the #1 New York Times bestseller, Unfit for Command — Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry (Regnery Publishing Inc., 2004) with swift boat veteran John O’Neill. The success of Unfit for Command permitted Dr. Corsi to make a career change into full-time writing on politics and economics, two fields in which he has considerable expertise and experience. In August 2008, he published The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality (New York: Simon and Schuster Threshold Editions), which was a #1 New York Times Bestseller for a month and remained on the NYT Bestseller list for 10 weeks. Dr. Corsi has authored and co-authored several oterh non-fiction books, including titles such as, Where’s the Birth Certificate (2011), Showdown with Nuclear Iran (2006), America for Sale (2010), and his newest book, The Great Oil Conspiracy: How the U.S. Government Hid the Nazi Discovery of Abiotic Oil from the American People.

There's a continuous wave of terror attacks across our nation and across the world, but it's not being reported on like it should. Jason Hartman talks with Pamela Geller, defender of the freedom of speech against attempts to force the West to accept Sharia blasphemy laws, and against Sharia self-censorship by Western media outlets.

Pamela and Jason discuss her new book, Fatwa: Hunted in America, and what people need to know about FBI investigations, online censorship, and how people still have the power to enact change.

Key Takeaways:

[1:42] What caused Pamela to write Fatwa: Hunted in America

[3:59] Defining what Pamela is referring to when she mentions 30,000 attacks, and where you can find a list of them

[6:31] People are being slaughtered in order to violently intimidate people into adhering to Sharia

[9:44] The media in Europe is refusing to report stories of terror attacks, and Jason believes it's a precursor to America

[13:19] The story of why the attack in Las Vegas happened has some questionable elements, and why the FBI isn't the organization to trust about this

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 79, from February 2012.

The lie detector is not a test for truth and the polygraphists know this. Join Jason Hartman as he interviews expert and co-founder of AntiPolygraph.org, George Maschke on the fallacy of lie detectors. George states that the practice of using a polygraph test has not been scientifically proven to be accurate and that, for the most part, it gets people to divulge information based on “control” questions, and also “buffer” questions that are not even measured. The polygraph measures physiological responses, such as breathing, blood pressure, heart and perspiration rates, which are compared to the reactions of lie-control questions. George explains how it is often used to trick people into handing over information, how the test is not 98% accurate, but closer to only 50% accurate, and how it is sometimes used as a plea bargain in court cases to “prove” innocence or guilt. George shares many instances where the guilty were able to manipulate the test and go free unless other evidence was found to convict, and also instances of innocent people being found guilty. He lists many ways that a lie detector test can be beaten.

George Maschke became a co-founder of AntiPolygraph.org and an author and activist against the use of lie detectors after wrongly failing a polygraph to get into the FBI. The organization is a non-profit, public interest website dedicated to exposing and ending waste, fraud, and abuse associated with the use of polygraphs and other purported “lie detectors.” George is co-author of “The Lie Behind the Lie Detector” with Gino J. Scalabrini. George was born and raised in Long Island, New York, where he graduated from Westhampton Beach High School. He joined the U.S. Army for a four-year enlistment, and then moved to Los Angeles, California to study at UCLA, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Near Eastern Studies, followed by a master’s and doctoral degree in New Eastern Languages and Cultures. He currently lives in The Hague, Netherlands, with his family as a legal translator.

Jason Hartman talks with Jon E. Mica, a writer and the father of a son who has been diagnosed with autism. Jon is author of “The Autistic Holocaust: The Reason Our Children Keep Getting Sick”, a book that accuses the federal government of refusing to acknowledge it as such and having a corrupt and morally unsound relationship with “Big Pharma.” First noting the dramatic rise in cases of autism in the United States since the 1970s, Autistic Indifference then discusses the rampant misuse and dangers associated with vaccinations. Additionally, the book argues that the Center for Disease Control has lied to the American public by presenting inaccurate data on annual flu deaths and, along with the Vaccine Safety Datalink, has buried damaging research on the perils of vaccines.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 101, from August 2012

Jason Hartman is joined by author, Gordon G. Chang, to discuss the looming proliferation of nuclear weapons, particularly in North Korea. Gordon talks about the skepticism surrounding North Korean intentions, noting that the KNO-8 missile was unveiled and was to be transported on TELs, Transporter Erector Launchers, of Chinese design. He says it’s very likely the Chinese are arming the North Korean forces. The KNO-8 has the potential to reach Alaska and U.S. forces in the Pacific. It is considered a direct threat to our homeland and completely unacceptable. Gordon feels there needs to be some very candid conversations about this issue. He talks about the instability and belligerence of the North Korean regime that doesn’t bode well for their relationships with South Korea and the U.S. With the hard-line, barbaric elements controlling the regime under young Kim Jong-un, it could take a half decade or more to establish a more stable North Korea.

Jason and Gordon also discuss the fragile political and economic system in China. As the workforce shrinks, China is at risk of collapse due to low economic growth and very interesting developments happening, creating a volatile society. The “economy is stumbling, the Communist party is fracturing, the authority of the central government is eroding, the military is breaking free of civilian control, and while all of this is happening, the Chinese people are taking to the streets hundreds of thousands of times a year and often in violent protest,” says Gordon, based on the last figures available in 2010.

In wrapping up, Gordon states that the change in nature of the regimes in both countries put everyone at risk. He suggests the U.S. stop looking at China as a solution for North Korea and instead create a new policy of working with its friends in the region. Gordon G. Chang is the author of Nuclear Showdown: North Korea Takes On the World, released by Random House in January 2006. Showdown focuses on nuclear proliferation in general and the North Korean crisis in particular. His first book is The Coming Collapse of China (Random House, August 2001). He is a columnist at Forbes.com and The Daily and blogs at World Affairs Journal. He lived and worked in China and Hong Kong for almost two decades, most recently in Shanghai, as Counsel to the American law firm Paul Weiss and earlier in Hong Kong as Partner in the international law firm Baker & McKenzie. His writings on China and North Korea have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, the Far Eastern Economic Review, the International Herald Tribune, Commentary, The Weekly Standard, National Review, and Barron’s.

Jason Hartman welcomes Economist Mike Norman to the show to discuss Modern Monetary Theory or MMT. Mike shares examples of common misconceptions people have of the US monetary system and economy, such as the US debt clock, that inflation equals growth, and how the tax system works. He believes that the US has an unlimited supply of capital and balancing the budget or functioning as a fixed monetary system would accomplish the opposite of what is needed to create growth.

Key Takeaways:

[1:40] Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) explains the value of money.

[4:39] A tax system is required to create demand for money.

[9:31] A fixed monetary system creates cycles of economic depressions and recessions.

[11:53] The US national debt is a summation of what is owned by the US and its constituents.

[19:25] A dollar must be created and pumped into the economy before it can be used to pay a tax debt.

[21:46] The US has an unlimited amount of new capital.

[27:13] There is a difference between inflation and growth.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 117, from December 2012.

In light of the recent election results, thousands of people across the United States started petitions to the government requesting that their state secede from the Union.  Drew Zahn, news editor at WND, joins Jason Hartman for a discussion about this movement that immediately followed on the heels of Obama’s re-election.  Drew and Jason talk about states’ rights, pointing out that many citizens feel our individual rights are also being infringed upon through some of President Obama’s mandates, such as healthcare reform.  The movement began with one gentleman in Louisiana asking for a peaceful secession from the Union for his state and very quickly snowballed.  Drew explains the legality involved in secession, noting that there are three ways that a state can leave the Union.  Citizens in all 50 states have petitioned the White House, with many states having acquired more than enough signatures to meet the requirement of the government’s policy for petitions.  Jason and Drew discuss the ramifications, good, bad and difficult, of a state actually legally seceding.

Drew Zahn is a reporter, movie critic and one of the news editors at WND.com, the nation’s oldest, largest independent online news source.  A graduate of Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota, Drew Zahn is a former pastor, who cut his editing teeth as a member of the award-winning staff of Leadership, Christianity Today’s professional journal for church leaders.  He is the editor of seven books, including “Movie-Based Illustrations for Preaching and Teaching,” which sparked his ongoing love affair with film and his weekly WND column, “Popcorn and a (World)View.”  He and his wife and their 16 children live in Iowa.

Sunday night in Las Vegas shook the town and, tragically, saw the loss of life to over 50 and caused injuries to over 400 participants at the Route91 Christian Music Festival. The deranged gunman who fired at them was shooting from the Mandalay Bay hotel, where Jason Hartman happened to be attending a meeting.

Jason took some time Monday evening to reflect on his experience as the realization dawned on him, and the other meeting attendees, that someone was shooting at people on the ground. He also talks to his friend, Larry, who stayed at the meeting a little longer and ended up being locked into the hotel and having to spend the night in the meeting room. Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 121, from January 2013.

Airplane safety has improved significantly, but there are improvements that can still be made to remove the fear that many people feel when boarding a plane. Author Dave Soucie joins Jason Hartman on this episode to talk about advances in safety and what still needs to be done. The biggest concern today is complacency, while the biggest improvement has been the implementation of Aviation Safety Information Analysis & Sharing (ASIAS), which allows for the exchange of information on precursors that may cause accidents down the road. David’s take on this is that there is a lot of room for improvement yet. He states that even the passengers are part of the safety system, stressing they need to be aware and if they see something concerning, be bold and speak up. David describes the FAA’s responsibilities and the standard regulations around the world. He also talks about the importance of the TSA, not disregarding blatant overstepping by some TSA agents, but the necessity of keeping airspace safe.

There have been many horrific airline crashes and David tells the stories behind those crashes. The way accidents are most often looked at is pilot error. But David asks the question, what caused the problem in the first place that resulted in a pilot needing to troubleshoot? The initial cause can be critical, such as faulty equipment that the airline companies know need to be replaced, but choose not to do immediately.  David and Jason close with general aviation tips and advice. Airplane crashes may be rare, but they do happen, and they’re usually fatal.  David Soucie insists that most of these deaths could be prevented.

Soucie’s worked in the cockpit, on the hanger floor, within the aviation boardroom, and inside the Washington D.C. beltway.  He’s seen death up close and personal - deaths of colleagues and friends that might have been prevented if he had approved certain safety measures in the aircraft they were handling.  This memoir is a gripping description of what Soucie saw and experienced as he worked in the aviation industry.  He’s now focused on understanding the hazards and risks of air travel.  As such, he is a regular consultant on the topic, from advising the Obama administration on airline safety management systems to taking a leading role as industry representative in the congressionally funded NextGen interdepartmental initiative to examine the challenges of aviation in the near future, not only for the Department of Transportation, but also for the departments of defense and Homeland Security, NASA, and the Office of National Intelligence. Since leaving the FAA in 2006, Soucie has analyzed nearly every major air disaster.  From January 2007 to June 2010, there were 240 commercial airplane accidents, 28 crashes on scheduled airlines that resulted in 1,795 deaths.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 111, October 2012.

We have all had the experience of being taken advantage of at some point in our life. Con artists are often very friendly and charming. Jason Hartman is joined by author, Chris Hadnagy to discuss social engineering and framing, and how it relates to personal, business and national security issues. The discussion centers on Chris’ book, Social Engineering:  The Art of Human Hacking. Chris defines social engineering as “any act that influences a person to take an action that may or may not be in their best interest.” He talks about the most important aspects of human hacking, such as influence – establishing rapport and asking for someone’s help. Other aspects include reciprocity, concessions and social proof. Chris also explains the process of framing.  Our framing is our foundation, our beliefs and morals, and social engineers work to understand a person’s framing, looking for common ground.

Chris Hadnagy, aka loganWHD, has been involved with computers and technology for over 14 years. Presently his focus is on the "human" aspect of technology such as social engineering and physical security. Chris has spent time in providing training in many topics around the globe and also has had many articles published in local, national and international magazines and journals

Chris is a student of Paul Ekman's training classes on Microexpressions and has spent time learning and educating others on the values of nonverbal communications.  He has combined what he learned with years of experience in a new research he has called nonverbal human hacking used to influence other people’s emotions.

He is also the lead developer of Social-Engineer.Org, as well as the author of the best-selling book, Social Engineering: The Art of Human Hacking. He has launched a line of professional social engineering training and penetration testing services at www.Social-Engineer.com. His goal is to help companies remain secure by educating them on the methods the "bad guys" use. Analyzing, studying, dissecting, then performing the very same attacks used by malicious hackers on some of the most recent attacks (i.e. Sony, HB Gary, LockHeed Martin, etc), Chris is able to help companies stay educated and secure.

Chris runs one of the web’s very popular security podcasts, the Social-Engineer.Org Podcast, which spends time each month analyzing someone who has to use influence and persuasion in their daily lives. By dissecting what they do, we can learn how we can enhance our abilities.  That same analysis runs over to the equally popular SEORG Newsletter.  After two years, both of these have become a staple in most serious security practices and are used by Fortune 500 companies around the world to educate their staff.  Chris can be found online at www.social-engineer.org, www.social-engineer.com and Twitter as @humanhacker.

This Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 82, from March 2012.

The original intent of a jury was to keep government tyranny in check. In today’s legal system, jurors are rarely told that they have this power. Jason Hartman interviews legal scholar and civil liberties activist, Roger Roots, on the responsibilities of juries and the Constitutional purpose of juries. Roger explains cases of unfair advantage by the U.S. Justice Department, where jurors are often directed and instructed by judges as to what convictions they may bring against a person, without being given the opportunity to review the laws. The full function of the jury is to be a final check and balance on the government legal system. Roger also discusses violations of First Amendment rights, corrupt laws, political involvement in corporations and markets, and how the violations against our First Amendment rights squelches the voice of the people who try to expose corruption. Roger talks about his work with the Fully Informed Jury Association, where he has pushed for legislation in favor of juries being fully informed of their rights and duties and the overturning of various small laws that prevent our legal system from working as our Founding Fathers intended.

Dr. Roger Roots is a nationally recognized criminologist, legal scholar and civil liberties activist. He is active in libertarian politics, and in the promotion of a freer, fairer and more just world. He is the author of more than two dozen noteworthy scholarly articles, and some of his research has been relied on by federal courts. He is an advocate for the rights of the disenfranchised, the downtrodden and the politically estranged. In recent years, Roots has focused his work and advocacy on three areas: the fully informed jury movement, the reestablishment of Fourth Amendment protections and the establishment of a fair and equal court system for all participants. Roots has has published an important article on the lopsided procedural rules of the federal court system, “Unfair Rules of Procedure: Why Does the Government Get More Time?” which appeared in The American Journal of Trial Advocacy in 2010. He has applied for two major research grants to continue and pursue this research, and he hopes to secure research funding to pursue this research in the near future. In 2011, Roots initiated a formal request to U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts, chair of the United States Judicial Conference, in the hopes that certain unfair advantages for the U.S. Justice Department can be removed from the Federal Rules of court procedure. This work is ongoing. Roots has argued that various filing requirement disparities in the Federal Rules of Civil, Appellate and Supreme Court Procedure give an unfair advantage to the U.S. Justice Department in civil and criminal litigation, and that this advantage is compounded over time. This advantage places the poor and minorities in an especially disadvantaged position. Roots has presented academic papers on the topic before the Law and Society Association national conference and the annual meeting of the American Society of Criminology.

During the 2011 Montana legislative session, Roots coauthored legislation that became House Bill 332, introduced by Representative Bob Wagner, to require Montana judges to fully inform juries of their absolute right to acquit and to determine the law in jury trials. The legislation did not get out of the House Judiciary Committee, but Roots has redrafted a proposed bill for the 2013 Legislative Session. Roots has also coauthored and sponsored a proposed constitutional amendment in Montana requiring juries in criminal trials be instructed regarding their power to review the law. On May 26, 2011, the Montana Secretary of State approved the proposed constitutional amendment (CI-107) for circulation as a ballot initiative. Dr. Roots is a member of the Board of Advisers of the Fully Informed Jury Association (www.FIJA.org), America’s oldest and largest educational organization solely dedicated to informing jurors and potential jurors of their lawful heritage, purpose and powers. Roots was a featured speaker at the 2008 Libertarian Party National Convention in Denver, Colorado regarding fully informed juries. He has been interviewed by The Orlando Sentinel and other publications regarding the rights and powers of juries. In February, 2011, he addressed a packed crowd at the New York City Junto Meeting at the Great Society Library in Manhattan, along with Professor Julian Heicklen, America’s foremost street advocate for fully informed juries. In recent years, Roots has studied the origins of search-and-seizure protections and has launched a long-term research project into the original intent behind the U.S. Constitution’s Fourth Amendment. In 2009, Roots published a major article on the subject, “The Originalist Case For the Fourth Amendment Exclusionary Rule,” Gonzaga Law Review, Vol. 45, pp. 1-66. The article has been the topic of academic discussions on the Volokh Conspiracy and other venues. Roots is currently engaged in research into the provenance of certain Founding-Era British books and pamphlets held in American rare book libraries. In 2010, Roots was awarded a research grant from the New York Institute of Technology to continue this research. This research focuses on the question of whether any of America’s Constitutional Framers owned or had access to these pamphlets prior to the drafting and ratification of the Fourth Amendment. (The larger research question is whether pre-Framing discussions of (what became) the Fourth Amendment exclusionary rule in British pamphlets were read or discussed by America’s Founding Fathers.

Dr. Roger Roots has also taught criminal justice and sociology classes at the college level, a pursuit he greatly enjoys. He especially enjoys teaching legal history and constitutional criminal procedure. Although he began his adult life as a high school dropout and an ex-convict, he now holds a Bachelors degree in Sociology from Montana State University—Billings, a Masters degree in Criminal Justice Science from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island, a law degree from Roger Williams University, and a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Roots was an honor student throughout higher education, and kept a Deans Scholarship in all three years of law school. On two occasions, he entered and won national legal writing competitions. His mentor at UNLV was the great Las Vegas gambling researcher Frederick Preston, who founded the doctoral program in Sociology at UNLV. His outside dissertation advisor was none other than Hans-Hermann Hoppe, the great libertarian economist and author of the landmark book, Democracy: The God That Failed who inherited the Murray Rothbard professorship at UNLV. As an attorney Roger Roots has worked on a variety of civil and criminal cases. He is the only lawyer in the history of the U.S. 8th Circuit to ever overturn a conviction on venue grounds. United States v. Stanko, 528 F.3d 581, 584 (8th Cir. 2008). Here is the winning brief. Roots has also worked on litigation concerning America’s lost legacy of grand jury oversight, a topic he has studied and written about on numerous occasions. Roots’ legal scholarship has been cited in the Harvard Law Review and the Yale Law Journal and been relied on by courts across the United States. (See, e.g., Baur v. Veneman, 352 F.3d 625 (2d Cir. 2003); United States v. Marcucci, 299 F.3d 1156, 1162 (9th Cir. 2002); United States v. Holmstrom, 246 F.Supp.2d 1101, 1110 (E.D.Wash. 2003)). Roots is an infrequent blogger for some of America’s premier libertarian websites, including Lewrockwell.com and Nolanchart.com. He was a featured speaker at the 2002 Nevada State Libertarian Party Convention and at the 2008 National Libertarian Party Convention in Denver, Colorado. He has also spoken before the Austrian Scholars Convention of the Ludwig Von Mises Institute in Auburn, Alabama. Dr. Roots is a founding member of the Wall of Tolerance, co-founded by Rosa Parks, whose courageous stand against authoritarian government in 1955 showed millions of others how to resist government by simply saying no.

This week's Flash Back Friday takes us to Episode 68 from January 2012.

As we embark on the mysterious journey through 2012, many things remain uncertain in our lives, i.e. the economy, employment, our political future. But one thing is certain – our planet needs some TLC. Join Jason Hartman as he interviews Peter Sale, author of Our Dying Planet, concerning the fragile ecosystem we live in and how we can successfully change the future for our children and grandchildren with a change in attitude. Peter says our planet does not have to die. We can avert the looming disaster if we act soon. Peter talks about many of today’s pressing environmental issues, including biodiversity loss, population growth, deforestation, fossil fuels, and climate change. Peter discusses how some ecosystems, such as the coral reefs, are extremely close to extinction through human irresponsibility. He also talks about new diseases and new species of pests, unrest and strife throughout the world, and the growing economic problems surrounding the resources the world population depends upon for survival. He states that the solutions to all of these problems are economically feasible, but people must have a change of heart and take action now.

Peter Sale is a marine ecologist, with a Masters from the University of Toronto and also educated at the University of Hawaii. Peter has seen firsthand the destruction of the coral reefs. His work is focused primarily on reef fish ecology and on management of the coral reefs. He has conducted research in Hawaii, Australia, the Caribbean, and the Middle East, as well as many reefs in between. He has successfully developed and guided projects in international development and sustainable coastal marine management in the Caribbean and Indo-Pacific. Peter has been a faculty member at University of Sydney, Australia, University of New Hampshire, and University of Windsor, Canada. He is currently the Assistant Director of the Institute for Water, Environment and Health at the United Nations University, based in Hamilton, Ontario. In Peter’s book, Our Dying Planet, he makes the argument that the complex and very serious problem of our global environmental crisis can be solved, has to be solved, and must be solved soon.

It has allowed the sharing economy to blossom, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin to exist and the blockchain algorithm to reinvent financial transactions. But, the government is vying to control the money supply. [03:55] The human brain is a cognitive miser.

[07:18] Examples of why good RV ratios are essential when buying income properties.

[16:10] The US truly is a land of abundance and we should appreciate our standard of living.

[33:01] The ‘Thought Police’ include companies such as Google, Airbnb, Facebook and big media outlets.

[43:44] Governments and central banks will never give up control of international money supply.

Astrologer Linda Schurman feels 2012 is going to be a rough year for all people around the world due to physical and psychological conditions and events, based on a number of configurations. Join Jason Hartman as he interviews Linda, editor and publisher of Soothesayer newsletter and author of What Next? A Survival Guide to the 21st Century, about her predictions for the year and beyond. Linda discusses government overreach with the National Defense Authorization Act, SOPA, and PIPA, our outrageous national debt that is owed to so many countries around the world, the involvement of major financial institutions in governments worldwide, such as Goldman Sachs, the systematic retraction of our constitutional rights, current and upcoming unemployment figures, the demise of the dollar, and a lengthy depression. Linda feels that the states will begin taking over legal matters, reinstating state rights.

Linda expresses concern about the U.S. involvement with Iran, feeling it is a very dangerous situation. She feels that the Occupy Wall Street Movement will become more cohesive and perhaps form a third political party. She discusses the real possibility for multitudes of emergencies, whether water shortages, earthquakes, glacial melting and the rise of oceans, and advises people to be prepared. But she also feels there will be breakthroughs in energy sources and health during this tumultuous time. Linda’s book, What Next? calls for action by humanity to stop the insanity of corruption, greed, war, and waste and misuse of resources and human life.

Today's Flash Back Friday takes us to Episode 63 from December 2011.

Join Jason Hartman and Jonathan Zap, researcher and philosopher, as they explore the psychology behind apocalyptic prophecies. Prophecies of the end times abound all over the world and have for decades upon decades. Search “end times” on the internet and you will find a host of books, websites, blogs, and articles on the subject. You will also find a plethora of speculations as to how it will come about. Where do all of these prophecies originate? In ancient texts? In dreams? Perhaps in the collective of human unconsciousness. Jonathan Zap calls this latter concept the Singularity Archetype, archetypes that help explain death and rebirth, changes that take place in people’s lives, and their motivations. Listen for a deeper understanding of Jonathan’s research at www.HolisticSurvival.com.

Jonathan Zap grew up in the Bronx, attended the Bronx High School of Science, and graduated from Ursinus College with honors in Philosophy and English, and earned his Masters degree in English from NYU. Today's Flash Back Friday takes us back to Episode 47.

Jason Hartman interviews Jeff Anderson, a combat veteran and Master CQC Instructor, about the importance of self-defense training and Jeff’s own program, Close Quarters Combat. As President of the International Society of Close Quarter Combatants, Jeff Anderson is also a Master Close Combat Instructor and decorated combat veteran of the US Military. As a lifelong student of traditional martial arts, it was his military training that led Jeff to seek out no-nonsense self-defense strategies that would work not only on the battlefield, but on the street. His training and unquenchable thirst for knowledge in the combative arts have led him to develop individual training in various “reality-based” combative arts.

After 10 years of military training in elite infantry units around the world, Jeff began working as a security consultant and executive protection specialist for private clients and the entertainment industry, eventually earning his industry recognized Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation.

In the classes and seminars Jeff began to instruct, Jeff’s training philosphy and goals have always boiled down to one thing…practicality! If a technique won’t work against a larger, stronger attacker (or attackers), it has no use in his arsenal!

In line with this philosophy and intent on advancing the concept of “reality based martial arts” throughout the world, in 2005, Jeff created the International Society of Close Quarter Combatants, a member-based organization solely focused on promoting instructors and training designed to help martial artists, law enforcement, government agencies, military, and citizens interested in self defense, develop the skills necessary to survive a violent street attack!

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 24 from March 2010.

Jason interviews writer and talk show host Charles Goyette. He is a libertarian commentator, who is noted for his outspoken anti-war views, his opposition to the war in Iraq and his economic commentary. He is the author of the book The Dollar Meltdown: Surviving the Impending Currency Crisis with Gold, Oil, and Other Unconventional Investments, which Congressman Ron Paul calls “a must read,” and investor Peter Schiff describes as “…a sensible plan to protect your wealth.”

Charles and Jason describe the next and most difficult phase of America’s financial turmoil – the coming currency crisis. A currency crisis is not a pleasant event for anyone, but I have outlined simple steps people can take to protect themselves and their families.” You’ll learn about the governmental errors that led to the current economic crisis and the bumpy road ahead. The signs are clear: Federal debt is compounding while growth has stalled, and America’s foreign creditors are questioning the dollar’s reserve currency status. Meanwhile, the “hidden” federal debt, much larger than the official debt, makes things even worse.

In clear detail we’ll discuss alternative investments — from gold and silver to oil and agriculture and income property — that will remain strong in the face of mounting inflation. Goyette will join Congressman Paul, author Thomas Woods, and others, speaking at the 2009 Freedom Summit in Phoenix, Arizona. The Freedom Summit conferences offer a stimulating periodic update on the current status of freedom in our world by a highly distinguished assortment of the leading figures in the freedom movement. “People need not get left holding the bag after decades of government irresponsibility, said Goyette. “But they must understand where we are, how we got here, and what happens next. America’s debt is a powder keg ready to blow. The fuse was lit by the mad rush of bailouts and stimulus spending.”

This week's Flash Back Friday takes us to episode 81, from March 2012

Join Jason Hartman and author of Primal Body, Primal Mind, Nora Gedgaudas, as they explore the negative effects of stress and anxiety on our brains and how nutrition is essential to a healthy brain. Nora explains how high levels of stress causes dumps of cortisol, leaving the brain “marinating” in it, and how it breaks down the temporal portion of the brain. Doctors tend to accept this breakdown as a sign of aging, but Nora says this is simply not the case. Just because something seems commonplace does not mean it is normal.

Nutrition plays such an incredible role in our overall health. Our food and water sources have changed to something completely unrecognizable to our ancestors, who ingested animal fat and protein primarily and were stronger and more disease-free. When we’re stressed, we often crave carbohydrates and this comes from the body expecting it because that’s what we’re feeding it. Nora describes how sugar is like kindling for the metabolic fire, burning quickly and constantly needing to be replenished. Contrary to today’s popular beliefs and fads, the fuel our bodies are designed to run on will surprise you. Nora provides insight into how to end the cravings and rollercoaster dieting, and also explains the problems with vegan and vegetarian diets, and talks about gluten sensitivity, the rise in inflammatory issues and autoimmune dysfunctions.

Former White House space program adviser, a NASA consultant, and space shuttle engineer John Casey takes issue with scientists, politicians, and anyone who believes in the phenomenon of global warming. He takes issue because, according to his research, it's a complete sham with no evidence supporting it, and we're actually in the midst of a global cooling due to a sun cycle.

John and Jason Hartman talk about why we're being misled regarding our climate, how we can know for certain, and what is ACTUALLY happening and why.

Key Takeaways:

[2:03] Are we seeing global warming, cooling, or nothing much?

[6:33] How can someone know who to believe when it comes to what is happening with our climate?

[10:11] Wouldn't a little bit of global warming be good for farming and agriculture in a lot of the world?

[15:12] What's the motivation for people pushing the global warming agenda?

[19:45] If you can control carbon dioxide and carbon, you control all life on Earth

Today's Flash Back Friday takes us to Episode 93 from June 2012.

The Ultimate Zapper inventor, Ken Presner, talks with Jason about an interesting alternative to healing from many illnesses and diseases. Ken shares some of his story about his amazing recovery from Multiple Sclerosis and near fatal experience with Crohn’s disease. Ken was inspired by Dr. Hulda Clark, who invented the original parasite zapper in 1993, to invent a zapper that includes what is called the Electroporation Effect. This type of therapy enhances the body’s cells’ uptake of medicine and vitamin and mineral supplements. Ken discusses the different types of therapeutic benefits achieved through zapping, from maintaining health in a healthy person to ridding the body of parasites, bacteria, fungus and toxins, even cancer. Every person’s body contains parasites and many parasites, bacteria and toxins may eventually affect the body’s pathology. Ken also covers some of the scientific research, explaining frequencies and the destructive or healing effect of various frequencies. He also addresses issues with the FDA, mercury fillings, and the importance of recognizing the root of pathologies, whether they are metals or chemical.

This weeks Flash Back Friday takes us back to Episode 97 from 2012.

Join Jason Hartman as he leads author, Ted Sumner, through a fascinating true story about Ted’s undercover police work with the San Jose Police Department and how the War on Drugs could be approached much differently. Ted talks about the alternative of legalizing certain drugs, particularly marijuana, but with control factors and accountability, controlling the production, distribution and safety to remove the high profit motive. Simply legalizing drugs leaves the black market open. Ted gives the example of Switzerland’s success in the legalizing of marijuana, where there are controls and regulations in place.

In addition to his work in law enforcement, Ted has taught martial arts for 45 years, and he is the creator and instructor of the Rehabilitation through Kenpo program to rehab veterans with brain trauma injuries. His goal in writing his book was to illustrate the great value of martial arts training and to shed light on the drug abuse problem in America, as well as the inadequate government drug policies.

Today's Flash Back Friday takes us to Episode 85 with Tom Grier.

With spring coming into full swing, so are ticks and the warnings of Lyme disease. But just how serious is this disease? Jason Hartman interviews Tom Grier, Executive Director of Pathology Studies at MIBDEC, a non-profit organization. Tom tells his horrendous personal experience with Lyme disease that went undiagnosed for years, and was reluctantly diagnosed with Multiple Schlerosis. He shares his story of new symptoms that popped up continuously, including a constant severe pressure in his head. Finally, one doctor looked at his chart and told him that he had late stage Lyme disease. Tom discusses the conspiratorial angle between insurance companies and scientists and doctors, which has led to many people not being treated properly for the disease.

Tom studied Clinical Immunology and Microbiology at the University of MN Duluth, and began a doctorate program in Geriatrics until the program was discontinued. Currently, Tom is the Executive Director of Pathology Studies at MIBDEC. MIBDEC is an non-profit organization trying to register Dementia and MS patients to donate their brains to science to look for spirochetes (Lyme) as a possible connection to some (not all) dementias. He does this because of the refusal by health departments, the NIH or CDC to do the proper work to rule out spirochetes within the brain as a cause of our increased rate of dementia in America and around the temperate latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere. Also like many in his field, he is concerned about the government not telling us the truth about epidemic diseases and the purposely funding of bad science. There are also conflicts of financial interest that prevent good science from prevailing.

Geography and demographic patterns are more important than most people give them credit for. Jason Hartman talks to Peter Zeihan, author of The Accidental Superpower, about what led America and other world powers to become economic and social behemoths. From China's one-child policy, to the strength of the dollar, to the future of oil and 3D printing, everything is important.

Key Takeaways

[1:37] – Peter Zeihan has held high-ranking positions within Stratfor, an intelligence company used by government and business officials.

[4:57] – You have to ask the bigger question: ‘compared to what?’ What are you comparing everything to?

[5:51] – Jason Hartman details some of the guest interviews we have in upcoming episodes of the Creating Wealth Show.

[13:29] – Geography is still a vital factor to a country’s progress and development, especially when it comes to transportation.

[18:54] – The dollar is the only hard currency in the world that exists in sufficient volume to lubricate the global system. What if the printing press actually was an option?

[21:08] – America’s commitment to free trade still has a huge impact on today’s world economy.

[26:48] – All of the various financial crashes are happening for the same reasons and we need to learn from them.

[29:41] – China is in such a difficult demographical situation that America’s social pressure for near-retirees seems like nothing.

[32:08] – Boundaries and ideas are starting to change for retirees, but those staying on in work are still in the minority.

[34:05] – The future of American oil production and usage could have totally transformed by this time next year.

[36:53] – The impact of 3D printing on supply chains is just staggering, and it’s going to continue to shrink the industry.

[42:16] – For more information, head to www.Zeihan.com and the book, The Accidental Superpower is available at any local bookstore and online.

Today's Flash Back Friday takes us back to episode 9, from October 5, 2009.

Everyone had to do the same standard fire and earthquake drills in school, but were we ever really prepared for what to do if a disaster hits your community and you're suddenly in charge of your family’s survival?

Jason Hartman talks with Cody Lundin, best-selling author of 2 survival and preparedness books: 98.6 Degrees: The Art of Keeping Your Ass Alive, and When All Hell Breaks Loose: Stuff You Need to Survive When Disaster Strikes.

Cody's survival expertise comes especially from the two years he spent living in a brush shelter in the woods. For those 2 years he slept on pine needles, and cooked over an open fire. His book, When All Hell Breaks Loose, aims to teach every family how to prepare mentally and physically for when a disaster hits at home, in the office, in your car, or wherever you happen to be at the time. Most importantly, these techniques need to be mastered BEFORE disaster happens.

Edward Griffin, author of The Creature from Jekyll Island, a film producer, author, and political lecturer. G. Edward started his life as a child actor, then became a radio station manager before turning 20.
