Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 69, originally published in January 2012.

Join Jason Hartman and film director, Jeff Warrick as they discuss subliminal messaging in our culture. Are we really brainwashed? Many, of course, call this a conspiracy theory, but Jeff feels the real conspiracy is in how nearly all of the media outlets are owned by five companies, who all seem to work in conjunction with one another and all share board of directors.

Jeff’s research for the documentary, “Programming the Nation?” found many instances of subliminal messaging, including in a presidential campaign ad in 2000 for George W. Bush, and Disney films and marketing ads, just to name a few. To learn more, listen at: www.HolisticSurvival.com/podcast. Jeff Warrick talks about how subliminal messaging is clearly being used in many ways. The U.S. Army has psychological operations units that have the capability of broadcasting such messages from a plane to influence people’s behavior. According to the late Wilson Bryan Key, this happened in Waco and was also used to force Manuel Noriega out of the Vatican compound in Panama City. Influencing behaviors can also be done by planting false stories, innocuous words in ads, music, and other propaganda. The documentary doesn’t explore why subliminal messaging is used, but it explores how it has been purportedly used throughout the years and sheds some light on the amount of misinformation out there today regarding this subject, based on recent studies that prove subliminal messaging is effective at least to a small extent.

Jeff Warrick founded Ignite Productions in 2002 to create revolutionary and thought provoking entertainment. He graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2000 with a double major in Film and Literature, and his screenwriting accomplishments include two original scripts that advanced to the top 5% in the Nicholl Fellowships in 2003 and 2005. With over 10 years of experience with print and web-related media, he is also responsible for dozens of successful marketing, graphic design, multi-media, and technical support related campaigns. He directed “Programming the Nation?” as his personal mission to determine if these manipulative tactics have succeeded, or if subliminal programming belongs in the category of urban legend.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 126, originally published in February 2013.

Economic tensions, nuclear and EMP threats, and acts of terrorism, both domestic and abroad, have people concerned about their safety and survival. During the Cold War, bomb shelters or fallout shelters became very popular. Today, your own home can provide the protection you need from whatever threats about which you are most concerned. Jason Hartman is joined by Brian Camden, Principal of Hardened Structures Hardened Shelters LLC, to talk about fortified homes, underground bunkers, protection and action plans, and how many shelters are designed. Brian explains the construction designs and the level of security available. These hardened structures can be built as a nice-looking home or second home or as an addition to an existing home, most often with underground shelters, that are fully sustainable off the grid. Brian shares some of the most important reasons that more and more homeowners are requesting fortified homes or shelters.

Hardened Structures Hardened Shelters LLC is a Construction Program Management firm. The Team consists of a core group of independent, specially trained shelter design firms for structural engineering, blast engineering, EMP/HEMP shielding, CBRN, HVAC, electrical and alternative energy designs. There has been a lot of concern about how unprotected our nation is from EMP/HEMP blasts, whether from natural means like solar flares or from warring nations, and the company has been involved in a lot of military projects to protect from these threats.

All construction is performed by a special group of geographically specific licensed general contractors. These independent design firms and general contractors have had specialized shelter design and build training before they can become part of the “Hardened Structures Team”. The company provides a “one-stop shop,” including arms, alarm systems, training, security threat assessments and more.

Jason Hartman is joined by long-time national security expert and author, F. Michael Maloof, to talk about how “the United States is more vulnerable than ever to an EMP attack that could shut down the country overnight, resulting in tens of millions of deaths and a 19th-century lifestyle for Americans for the foreseeable future.” Michael is the author of “A Nation Forsaken,” in which he discusses the likelihood of an EMP attack, whether from terrorists or solar activity, and exposes the government’s lack of preparation to protect the country. He also proposes practical steps that people can take to prepare against such a cataclysmic event.

F. Michael Maloof, a former senior security policy analyst in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, has almost 30 years of federal service in the U.S. Defense Department and as a specialized trainer for border guards and Special Forces in select countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia.  While with the Department of Defense, Maloof was director of technology security operations as head of a 10-person team involved in halting the diversion of militarily critical technologies to countries of national security and proliferation concern and those involved in sponsoring terrorism.  His office was the liaison to the intelligence and enforcement community within the Office of the Secretary of Defense in halting transfers and using cases that developed from them as early warnings to decision-makers of potential policy issues.

Following the September 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the United States, Maloof was detailed back to report directly to the undersecretary of defense for policy to prepare analysis of worldwide terrorist networks, determine their linkages worldwide and their relationship to state sponsors.

As the crash of the housing market and stock markets unfolded several years ago, we learned much about the often questionable and illegal dealings of numerous large banking entities, such as J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, and most recently, HSBC. Jason Hartman interviews the author of The Infiltrator: My Secret Life Inside the
Dirty Banks Behind Pablo Escobar’s Medellin Cartel, Robert Mazur about his undercover work in the drug cartels. Within this shroud of secrecy, Robert came to know the dirty bankers and businessmen that were in the hierarchy of Columbia’s drug cartels, and he led the largest money-laundering takedown that brought about charges against more than 80 men and women across the globe. Many of the underworld bankers and business people are still powerful throughout the world, and the drug cartels are difficult, if not impossible, to stop because of the intricate web of lies and corruption in the financial systems.

Robert Mazur is the President of Chase & Associates, and leads the company's initiatives in litigation support, financial investigations, anti-money laundering compliance and training. Since 1998, Mr. Mazur has directed the company's successful assistance to numerous law firms, public corporations, institutions, government agencies and professional business associations. Mr. Mazur is a graduate of Wagner College, Staten Island, NY. In July of 1998, he retired from a 27-year career as a federal agent. During his government career, he was a Senior Special Agent with three federal agencies (IRS - Criminal Investigation Division, U.S. Customs Service, and the Drug Enforcement Administration). Mr. Mazur is a court certified expert in the fields of money laundering and international drug trafficking. He has attained this certification in the federal criminal courts of both the U.S. and Canada.

During his career as a federal agent, Mr. Mazur specialized as a long-term undercover agent in money laundering and drug investigations. He is best known for his 2-year undercover role as a money launderer in an investigation that resulted in the prosecutions of the Bank of Credit & Commerce International (BCCI), senior officers of BCCI, and high-ranking members of Colombian drug cartels. Mr. Mazur routinely designs and presents curriculum to federal, state and local law enforcement officers throughout the U.S and Caribbean. His lectures address Investigating Drug & Money Laundering

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 112, originally published in October 2012.

Many scenarios exist of a potential societal collapse in our world, such as nuclear war, biological warfare, plagues and disease, global financial collapse, political strife or a natural catastrophe. Regardless of how it could come about, survival is the name of the game. Jason Hartman interviews R.P. Ruggiero, author of Brushfire Plague, to talk about the book, about preparation, survival and the importance of community. Brushfire Plague is an action novel about a virulent plague that quickly spreads around the world. The main character faces a daily battle for survival, which leads to uncovering a horrible secret about the Brushfire Plague and having to make incredibly difficult choices. In the interview, R.P. talks about group dynamics, how issues are discussed and worked out under duress. We have to be able to deal with and communicate with other people, including others’ egos and fears. He further explains that in crisis situations, people tend to be slow to realize the rules have changed, and discusses preparation and security. His goal is stressing the basic responsibility of being prepared so as not to be a burden on others and being able to protect yourself and your family should a crisis occur.

R.P. Ruggiero lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and two sons.  He spends as much time as he can in the outdoors and strives to live by Robert Heinlein’s credo that, “Specialization is for insects.”  When he is not outdoors, writing, or learning a new skill, he works coordinating people to achieve their common goals.  He brings his almost two decades of experience in group dynamics—particularly when people are under stress—to good use in writing The Brushfire Plague; a novel grounded in neighborhood defense during a devastating plague.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 106, originally published in September 2012.

Dr. Aubrey de Grey, a biomedical gerontologist, joins Jason Hartman on this episode to discuss how close we’re getting to finding the proverbial Fountain of Youth. Dr. de Grey explains that the aging process is simply the collection of early stages of the illusion of old age, i.e. cell damage and loss. He said the accumulation of aging side effects leads to the diseases and conditions of old age that we do not notice during younger ages. He describes the human body as a machine, albeit a very complicated and complex machine, and therefore, it should come as no surprise that the body breaks down over time. Dr. de Grey and the SENS Foundation have a plan to repair various areas of cell damage and cell loss through processes such as stem cell replacement therapies to slow the aging process. Dr. de Grey talks about the science, the research, the obstacles and the funding of this important work. He assures us that once this work is up and running, it will be the real deal allowing people to look and feel younger, but he stresses that this would be preventative care. Jason and Dr. de Grey also address the implications of slowing the aging process on the world population, the age to which people continue to work, pensions, and our carbon footprint.

Dr. Aubrey de Grey is a biomedical gerontologist based in Cambridge, UK and Mountain View, California, USA, and is the Chief Science Officer of SENS Foundation, a California-based 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to combating the aging process. He is also Editor-in-Chief of Rejuvenation Research, the world’s highest-impact peer-reviewed journal focused on intervention in aging. He received his BA and Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge in 1985 and 2000 respectively. His original field was computer science, and he did research in the private sector for six years in the area of software verification before switching to biogerontology in the mid-1990s. His research interests encompass the characterisation of all the accumulating and eventually pathogenic molecular and cellular side-effects of metabolism (“damage”) that constitute mammalian aging and the design of interventions to repair and/or obviate that damage. He has developed a possibly comprehensive plan for such repair, termed Strategies for Engineered Negligible Senescence (SENS), which breaks aging down into seven major classes of damage and identifies detailed approaches to addressing each one. A key aspect of SENS is that it can potentially extend healthy lifespan without limit, even though these repair processes will probably never be perfect, as the repair only needs to approach perfection rapidly enough to keep the overall level of damage below pathogenic levels. Dr. de Grey has termed this required rate of improvement of repair therapies “longevity escape velocity”. Dr. de Grey is a Fellow of both the Gerontological Society of America and the American Aging Association, and sits on the editorial and scientific advisory boards of numerous journals and organizations.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 86, originally published in April 2012.

We all remember the famous McDonald’s hot coffee case where Stella Liebeck sued McDonald’s after her scalding coffee spilled and burned her.  But do we know the actual facts?  Jason Hartman interviews Susan Saladoff, former attorney and producer of the documentary “Hot Coffee,” regarding the distorted facts surrounding the case and what is wrong with our court system today. Susan purports that our justice system has become partial to big business through public relations campaigns, and people believe that we have an out-of-control court system where anyone can sue for any frivolous reason, which has resulted in tort reforms – or tort “deforms” as Susan describes it. Susan says it is actually very difficult for a person with a non-meritorious case to win any money or even find a lawyer to defend them. She also says that people tend to think that many civil suits are ridiculous and are brought about by greedy people and businesses until it happens to them. Large corporate interests have this belief that if they can convince the public that the system is broken, that there are too many frivolous lawsuits, people will vote against their own best interests for tort reform. In doing so, we forfeit our Seventh Amendment right to access the court system. Jason and Susan discuss arbitration consequences, the corruption of the legal system, and what people can do to protect their rights.

Susan Saladoff (Producer, Director) spent twenty-five years practicing law in the civil justice system, representing injured victims of individual and corporate negligence. She stopped practicing law in 2009 to make the documentary, HOT COFFEE, her first feature-length film. She began her career as a public interest lawyer with the law firm of Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, now known as Public Justice, an organization that, for the last 25 years, has been at the forefront of keeping Americas courthouse doors open to all. Susan was recognized by her peers as an Oregon Super Lawyer for five consecutive years from 2006 to 2010. She is a graduate of Cornell University and George Washington University Law School, and has frequently lectured at the state and national levels on the importance of the civil justice system.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 116, originally published in December 2012.

Jason Hartman is joined by Pastor Lindsey Williams to share his experiences from members of the Elite, a group of very wealthy people around the world that are said to be behind the orchestration of the global financial crisis for the inception of a one-world currency. He describes the “ethical” code of the Elite and ways that they attempt to get the word out to people before situations happen, particularly through the use of media. Signals that Pastor Williams was to watch for were a crack in the derivative market, which goes unregulated and in May 2012, J.P. Morgan lost $5 billion on derivative trading and $25 billion in share losses; currency wars that began with China saying they will allow a 0.5% – 1% increase in their currency; trade wars in which countries bypass the American dollar; and an increase in interest rates. Pastor Williams emphasizes the need to secure assets now and be aware of all that is going on around the world. One step is to trade our worthless paper money for gold and silver.

Lindsey Williams was invited to be the Chaplain to the Elite of the world for three years during the construction of the Trans-Alaska Oil Pipeline. Because of his position as Chaplain, he was offered executive status with Alyeska Pipeline Service Company in an advisory capacity and sat in the board meetings with the Elite, listening to people who tell the President of the United States what to do, tell Congress what bills to pass, dictate the price of oil on any given day, and control the currencies of the world, talk of their plans. Pastor Lindsey Williams is the author of six books, two of which became best sellers. He has been a Baptist minister for 55 years.

Dan's artistry has been described as irreverent and his politically topical images are popular with political activists and young people around the world. His art can be seen everywhere from social media profile pictures to official campaign shirts for United States presidential candidate Ron Paul, and even fundraisers for gentlemen like Edward Snowden and Julian Assange.

His design business has clients from around the world. His latest line of work, infographics, have been featured in Mashable. According to Dan, "I love doing infographics - and even help run a fan site for the Hunger Games because I'm a geek like that."

New World Order, United Nations, World Trade Organization, World Health Organization – these are all names the world is familiar with, but who are they really? What are the real underlying causes of humanity’s problems? What influences are behind every decision made in Congress and every elected official? Join Jason Hartman as he and author, Professor Jeffrey Grupp, take a look at the existential and empirical evidence that monopolistic mega-corporations control all basic resources and items that world citizens depend on for their daily survival. According to Professor Grupp’s research, corporations are behind every government and major control agency in the world, working behind the scenes, exercising their power with an intricately woven design for controlling the lives of every human being in the world, from the food we eat, to the medical care we receive, to the education of our children, etc.

Jeffrey Grupp was born in Michigan in 1970. He is currently residing in Ann Arbor, MI. His professions are author, radio talk show host, and college teacher at a school in the Ann Arbor, MI area. Nationally syndicated radio talk show host Phil Valentine is one of the “Heavy Hundred” top talkers in America. From Nashville, North Carolina (via Raleigh and as a program director of a station in Greensboro) to Nashville, Tennessee’s SuperTalk 99.7WTN, he has been a widely successful top radio host all throughout his career. The next Monday, they fired the current morning host and Phil was to be his replacement. He hosted the morning talk show on WLAC-AM and the afternoon music show on WLAC-FM.

Indoctrination of our youth on the issue of global warming is coming to an end if filmmaker Phil Valentine has anything to say about it. His award-winning documentary, An Inconsistent Truth, calls out Al Gore on the lies and deception that have dominated the discussion since the release of An Inconvenient Truth in 2006 and Valentine is on a crusade to educate the world about the facts.  Valentine's film not only rights the wrongs of Gore's film; it explores the culture that drives the global warming movement as well as its motivations.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 61, originally published in November 2011.

Jason Hartman interviews director and co-executive producer Phil Leirness, about the incredible journey into conspiracy theories with Dean Haglund to create the documentary, The Truth is Out There. Phil talks about one thing that really resonated with him – on the one hand, there is no such thing as a conspiracy, that it’s just business as usual, while on the other hand, everything in the world is a conspiracy. Phil Leirness likes making films about things that make him angry, but how about finding out how these things that make us angry can work for us? Does the word “conspiracy” have to have negative connotations? Thus the idea for the documentary was born. Phil found that the word is most often used to marginalize the people that are trying to tell us something is happening that isn’t particularly good for us as a collective.

Phil Leirness has always been a storyteller and by the time he graduated high school, he was a published film critic, a stand-up comic, and a television host. It was during that time that he realized he needed to become a filmmaker. He graduated from UCLA Film School and has directed five feature films, “The Party Crashers,” “Spectres,” “Till Do Us Part,” “Story of O,” and “Karl Rove, I Love You.” He has also written/directed almost 40 documentary short subjects examining the making of various feature films. From 2005 through 2008, Phil served as the Managing Director of international film distribution and sales company Cinema Arts Entertainment and its sister company, Artedis S.A. Prior to that, Phil served as the Director of Acquisitions and Development for Shadowland, the feature film division of Pasadena-based GOAL productions he helped found. During this time, Phil oversaw the development of the PBS documentary, The Great Year. In addition to filmmaking, Phil, along with Dean Haglund, co-hosts the weekly podcast show “Chillpak Hollywood Hour” on the Farpoint Media Network.

Join Jason Hartman as he interviews Paul Wheaton, founder of RichSoil.com and Permies.com, on the benefits of permaculture, which is a different way of gardening without irrigation. Paul’s definition of permaculture is creating a more symbiotic relationship between himself and nature so that he can be lazier. Permaculture includes how you build your building, the energy used, social interaction, as well as the horticultural aspects. Some of the benefits of this type of gardening are no irrigation, no bugs, and no weeding. The garden grows with little to no help from humans. Paul explains how observing foods that grow wild, such as raspberries and strawberries, provides the keys to more healthy, flavorful foods. Paul goes into how it provides a sustainable way of living based on the way things grow in nature, how cast iron pans can last hundreds of years, and the nutrition of food growing amongst trees, shrubs, and what we would normally call weeds. Jason and Paul also touch on the subject of corporatocracy of chemical-based solutions and government laws and regulations that make it more difficult all the time for individuals to grow their own gardens and sell their excess food.

Paul is the founder of Richsoil.com, Permies.com and a few other gems (JavaRanch.com). Richsoil.com evolved out of a barrage of emails about lawn care and ultimately gave birth to Permies.com. Permies is a place where Permaculture enthusiasts come to learn, share, and learn some more from each other and is now the largest gathering of permaculturites on the web. As a certified master gardener and a certified permaculture designer, Paul Wheaton has written numerous articles (richsoil.com) and founded the permaculture forums (permies.com), which have since become the largest permaculture web site on the internet. Paul Wheaton has been practicing and preaching this new way of gardening, farming and living for the last nine years, because, as he says, “It’s the sort of eco system that nature intended. Paul has many audio and video podcasts, and several community forums from which much information can be gathered, such as: Organic Lawn Care for the Cheap and Lazy, CFL Fluorescent Light Bulbs: More Hype Than Value and Raised Garden Beds, Hugelkulture instead of irrigation, and Rocket Stove Mass Heaters.

Following a cancer scare, during which he was approached by researchers and asked about his exposure to chemicals from common household items, i.e. weed killers, glue, detergents, plastic meat wrap, etc, McKay Jenkins set about doing his own research for clues into the toxins that are getting into our bodies and environment. Jason Hartman and author, McKay Jenkins, discuss the findings that led McKay to write his book, What’s Gotten into Us? Staying Healthy in a Toxic World. McKay was lucky that the tumor in his abdomen was benign, but during the weeks up until his surgery, he came across a lot of people with various types of cancers and he wondered just how many chemicals we’re exposed to every day. The number was staggering. The toxins are leached into our environment and ingested through our air, food, water, and numerous household items and lawn care products. Water samples show pharmaceuticals; mattresses contain neurotoxins that break down over time; children’s clothing contains flame retardants; many pots and pans are coated with Teflon. The list goes on and on. Body burden studies reflect the amount of toxins in a person’s body and the findings reveal high levels of hormone-disrupting chemicals in blood samples.

McKay talks about the regulations or lack of regulations that are favoring large corporations rather than protecting consumers. Maine has been able to pass the most effective health laws in the United States that favor its citizens. The corporatocracy wants consumers to shop without thinking; cosmetics are full of chemicals that are actually illegal for use in Europe because of their carcinogenic properties. For instance, lipstick contains lead and other cosmetics contain industrial strength degreasers that are used on engines. Warning labels are not required on cosmetics, yet the same degreaser found in the hardware store carries a warning lable. McKay wraps up the interview with suggestions for healthier living and advises consumers to be more aware of what is going into and on their bodies. McKay Jenkins has been writing about people and the natural world for 25 years. In addition to his book, What’s Gotten into Us, McKay is the author of several other books. He is also the editor of The Peter Matthiessen Reader (Vintage, 2000), an anthology of the American nature writer’s finest and most enduring nonfiction work. McKay holds degrees from Amherst, Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism, and Princeton, where he received a PhD in English. A former staff writer for the Atlanta Constitution, he has also written for Outside, Orion, The New Republic, and many other publications. Jenkins is currently the Cornelius Tilghman Professor of English and Director of Journalism at the University of Delaware, where he has won the Excellence in Teaching Award. He lives in Baltimore with his family.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 92, originally published in May 2012.

On this episode, Jason Hartman interviews author and Executive Director for The Post Sustainability Institute, Rosa Koire. This is an incredible interview regarding UN Agenda 21 Sustainable Development, a plan that was designed by the United Nations, signed on by George H. W. Bush in 1992, to inventory and control all resources, human and natural, including all means of production, land, and information resources. “There is no aspect of your life that is not impacted by U.N. Agenda 21,” says Rosa Koire, author of Behind the Green Mask. Listen for more details at: www.HolisticSurvival.com. Rosa describes this agenda as the biggest public relations scam in the history of the world, in which it twists public opinions so that we think we’re having some impact on the government plans that are being imposed on us, when in fact we do not. It’s affecting us now.

Rosa provides some history on the origins of UN Agenda 21, a plan with the goal to ultimately create a world government. Many of the projects are happening already, such as transferring private property into public hands via a program called “Growing Smart.” It puts restrictions on the ability to use our private property. As with every other government policy, this is being done under the guise of protecting us and providing sustainability through political jargon. Rosa emphasizes that this is a plan to take control of us, our physical bodies, not just our real estate, and it is happening all over the world. Rosa talks about planners being taught how to deal with dissenters who are speaking the truth, schools putting sustainability principles into every course (indoctrination of our children), and exhausting our military with wars and drugging us for mental illness diagnoses. Jason and Rosa then cover land use and urban planning, where the goal is to move people into cities. Rosa also explains SmartMeters, municipal utilities, new appliances containing chips, smoking laws, people being watched and monitored, etc. This is an interview you don’t want to miss.

Rosa Koire, ASA, is the executive director of the Post Sustainability Institute. She is a forensic commercial real estate appraiser specializing in eminent domain valuation. Her nearly 30 years of experience analyzing land use and property value enabled her to recognize the planning revolution sweeping the country. While fighting to stop a huge redevelopment project in her city, she researched the corporate, political, and financial interests behind it and found UN Agenda 21. Impacting every aspect of our lives, UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development is a corporate manipulation using the Green Mask of environmental concern to forward a globalist plan.

Today’s Holistic Survival Show sees author, Mitchell Zuckoff, as guest to describe how a straightforward swindle was transformed into months of notorious money-making in the hands of Charles Ponzi. We can learn a huge amount from the history and the figures, but Jason Hartman also steers the discussion into a more contemporary tone, asking Zuckoff for his advice on identifying bad deals and how to avoid getting sucked in.

Key Takeaways:

1.57 – Mitchell Zuckoff takes us through the past of the man who characterized Ponzi schemes

06.34 – Swindles have existed for centuries, but what makes a Ponzi scheme so specific?

11.57 – Strangely, there is evidence to suggest that Ponzi’s intentions weren’t even as swindling as presumed

17.34 – The success Ponzi had in such a short time is really mind-boggling. Consider inflation as well and you can understand why he gained such notoriety

18.08 – It’s important that we learn from these aspects of history to not get caught up ourselves

22.25 – Unbelievably, people are still getting caught up in scandals involving money in Nigeria. What definition of skeptical do these people live by?

Best-selling author and creator of the SIGMA book series, James Rollins, uses his latest novel ‘The 6th Extinction’ as the basis for today’s Holistic Survival Show. He and host, Jason Hartman, discuss some of the latest scientific advances, the potential for human immortality and the impact of our actions on this race as a whole.

Key Takeaways

01.45 – The latest instalment of the SIGMA series deals with the very real concept of an impending extinction on the scale of the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs.

02.20 – The inspiration for many of today’s novels comes from scientific discoveries and advances that have a real bearing on our lives. The fact that 30,000 species become extinct every year cannot be overlooked.

02.48 – With the notion of the sixth extinction, the main difference is that we, humans, seem to be the cause, and there are some authorities on the matter who believe we only have one or two generations until it happens.

04.30 – Only 1 out of 10 cells in our body has human DNA in it.

06.10 – Scientists are now at a point when they can create from scratch. Designer yeast is one of the more recent creations, but what’s next?

08.00 – Novice scientists can be a part of the Bio-Punk movement by paying $40 and receiving some genetically modified weed seeds that glow in the dark.

10.10 – In these situations, it’s not a case of if something bad will happen; it’s a question of when.

11.00 – IGEM programs are even allowing for High School students to get involved in the field.

12.50 – Where computer code hacking used to be at the forefront, it’s now being taken over by this new and growing trend of hacking into gene codes.

13.17 – 2040 is now predicted to be the year that man becomes immortal – to a degree or almost doubling our life expectancy.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 88, originally published in July 2012.

Teaching basic reading, writing, and arithmetic has been systematically replaced with an agenda-based curriculum run by government organizations, shifting America’s educational system from one of learning facts and figures to changing values and beliefs, i.e. brainwashing. Join Jason Hartman and whistleblower Charlotte Iserbyt in this lively discussion about the dumbing down of America’s school children and college students. Listen at: www.HolisticSurvival.com. Charlotte explains 100-plus years of chronological history of educational reform, through the use of controversial, non-academic material, institutionalizing schools, and plans for a global economy, and how these reforms have led to American students scoring below the international average and being among the lowest of several participating nations in mathematics and science. Material collected over a 30 – 50-year period shows the irrefutable proof of deliberate and malicious intent to bring about behavioral changes in students, parents, and society for a collective mentality. Charlotte discusses the Pavlovian and Skinner animal training methods being employed today in America’s schools that has led to a socialist democracy, and which is disguised in many ways, such as Outcome-Based Education. She also talks about how books are being phased completely out of schools, to be replaced with computers, which further emphasizes this global economic system and collectivism. Charlotte encourages parents to become more knowledgeable and informed of what their children are being taught in today’s schools.

Charlotte Iserbyt served as Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI), U.S. Department of Education, during the first Reagan Administration, where she first blew the whistle on a major technology initiative which would control curriculum in America’s classrooms. Iserbyt is a former school board director in Camden, Maine and was co-founder and research analyst of Guardians of Education for Maine (GEM) from 1978 to 2000. She has also served in the American Red Cross on Guam and Japan during the Korean War, and in the United States Foreign Service in Belgium and in the Republic of South Africa. Iserbyt is a speaker and writer, best known for her 1985 booklet “Back to Basics Reform or OBE: Skinnerian International Curriculum” and her 1989 pamphlet “Soviets in the Classroom: America’s Latest Education Fad”, which covered the details of the U.S.-Soviet and Carnegie-Soviet Education Agreements which remain in effect to this day. She is a freelance writer and has had articles published in Human Events, The Washington Times, The Bangor Daily News, and included in the record of Congressional hearings.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 107, originally published in September 2012.

Governments and globalist elites infiltrate more and more of people’s lives worldwide every day, and according to Charles Upton’s studies, religions have both covertly and blatantly (under the guise of “helping”) been subjected to the same interference. Jason Hartman interviews author, Charles Upton, about his lifelong studies of comparative religion and metaphysics, and what has been happening and is continuing to happen within religious sectors, particularly the move toward one worldwide religion. Charles points out the three ways that he feels religions are being controlled, including developing false religions and belief systems, like UFOs and the Mayan Apocalypse.

Charles Upton is a poet, social critic, and a lifelong student of traditional metaphysics and comparative religion, as well as a veteran of the counterculture of the 60’s and 70’s. He began his writing career as a poet; his short epic Panic Grass and his second book of poems were published in 1968. In the 80’s, he participated in the movement against U.S. intervention in Central America and the sanctuary movement for Central American refugees, and shortly afterward did a tour of duty, partly as a participant, partly an investigator, in the mass magical/populist peace movement of the New Age. Charles has written and had published 17 books, with several books on metaphysics, a topic he was introduced to through his wife, Jenny. He authored the book The System of the Antichrist: Truth and Falsehood in Postmodernism and the New Age in 2001. The sequel to that book is his newest book published in 2012, called Vectors of the Counter-Initiation: The Course and Destiny of Inverted Spirituality, which discusses the history, nature, methods and agendas of false spirituality, as seen in terms of culture, politics, metaphysics and paranormal, and includes the co-optation of both esoteric organizations and the world religions themselves. For the last quarter century, Charles has been a traveler on the Sufi path.

Are any Americans really ready to say "Give me liberty or give me death" anymore? Today Americans find themselves in a world where fewer and fewer people control the government, political parties don't make much (if any) of a difference, spending is out of control, but it's not bad enough for people to rise up and actually take action.

Jason Hartman talks to Michael Badnarik, former Libertarian Presidential candidate and author of Good to Be King and Secret to Sovereignty. The two discuss the constant erosion of our liberties and if there's any chance we're going to turn it around.

Key Takeaways:

[1:32] What is the legitimate purpose of the US government

[5:27] The questions that are asked of a presidential candidate

[9:22] Michael believes he proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, there was election fraud in his race

[13:10] We the People are asleep at the wheel

[17:17] Why don't we have runoff style elections? Is it too cumbersome?

[20:38] Spending and the size of government go together

[23:42] What can we do about the situation we're facing in the USA?

[26:59] Will Americans still say "Give me liberty or give me death"?

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 78, originally published in February 2012.

Join Jason Hartman and Robert Zimmerman, space explorer and science journalist, as they explore the issues behind “global warming” and the impact these issues could potentially have on the human race. As Bob explains, science is being corrupted by political and governmental forces “either because they provide the financing or because a lot of people within those communities of government and political activism are trying to use science to twist it for their ends. The climate field has been badly warped by people inside and outside of the science community for political gain.” Bob does point out that public belief in global warming has plummeted significantly in the past few years. That drop coincides with the release of the Climategate information. Skeptics of global warming are called “deniers.” Jason asks the question, if global warming is real, is it even bad? Bob says there is very little trustworthy data as to whether it is bad. Almost all studies that say global warming is bad and we’re going to die are political in nature. He said the real data is in the recorded events in history, which shows that certain things happen as the earth cools and warms. Bottom line, it’s a “chicken little” situation, in which everything climate related is called “global warming” and people are beginning to not believe anything the scientific community says, including the real data, and that’s the real tragedy.

Bob also talks about his optimism in the United States as the engine of innovation. He explains we are no longer a country of tinkerers, but we are a country of services with more open-mindedness, which will promote more innovation. Jason and Bob discuss space exploration and the war going on between private and public space exploration in the U.S. Bob feels that as the move toward privatization of the space projects unfurls, we’re going to see over the next five years multiple companies able to put humans in orbit via the government. He also thinks that within a year, from private companies, we’ll begin to see the first flights of tourist spaceships with people onboard who have paid for the flight. Bob shares information about Templar’s findings of ten earthlike planets that are in what is considered “the habitable zone.” Robert Zimmerman has not only been fortunate to write about some of the most exciting moments in space history, he has also had the great and grand fortune to actually go where no one has gone before. In addition to his other titles, Robert is also the author of Behind the Black. When he was in college (around 1974,) he stayed up late one night to watch the movie Citizen Kane. When the movie was over, he was left breathless with wonder at its clarity of vision. Hungry to see more movies like this, he scanned the television dial and stumbled upon the opening shots of the classic and equally great MGM film, Grand Hotel.

For the next twenty years, he dedicated himself to making movies, hoping to create films as entertaining and as meaningful. Instead, he ended up making a large number of very bad low budget horror films in the New York City area. In later years, he wrote screenplays and helped produce several films. Most of these movies were mindless, mediocre, and completely forgettable. By the mid-nineties, he had had enough, and decided to change careers. During these same years, he was also cultivating other interests, almost all of which had to do with the human instinct for exploration. Robert got a master’s degree, studying early America colonial history because he was curious to learn how the most successful pioneer societies organized themselves. He followed the space program from childhood because he saw it as the future of the human race. And he got involved in cave exploration, because he simply didn’t have the math skills necessary to make it as a NASA astronaut, but still had the desire to explore unknown territory. And from what he could learn, caving was the one physical activity in which it was still possible for ordinary people to go where no one has gone before. Since Robert’s first wild cave trip in 1984, he has explored hundreds of caves in the United States, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Russia, and Ukraine. He has been involved in a number of projects, pushing and surveying virgin cave passages, walking in places previously untouched by human hands. He has even become a cartographer, drawing the maps of the caves he has helped discover and survey. Once, Robert was even trapped inside a cave for 10 hours because of a flood. Even as he was having all these cool adventures, in 1996, Robert began the slow transition from movie-maker to full time non-fiction science writer. He had decided that — instead of making dismal, violent movies that said nothing positive about human nature — he would focus on telling the exciting stories of scientists, engineers, and astronauts in their never-ending efforts to push the limits of human experience, either as researchers trying to solve the mysteries of nature or as explorers trying to push the unknown.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 163, originally published in August 2013.

Mark Walters is a nationally syndicated host of Armed American Radio and author of, "Lessons from Unarmed America." He joins the show to discuss the measures taken by Obama to reduce gun violence and if any of them are realistic.

Walters has been penning The Ordinary Guy column as a regular contributor to Concealed Carry Magazine for over 5 years.   As a freelance writer for a local industrial trade publication and a vocal second amendment activist in Tampa, Florida, Mark’s letters and opinions  appeared many times in the Tampa Tribune.   His book, Lessons From Armed America, co-written with Kathy Jackson ( forward by Massad Ayoob), was released in October 2009 by Whitefeather Press and highlights the stories of those who found found themselves the victims of violent crime and either used a gun or wished they had one when they needed it most, including his own story.

In November of 2002 just two weeks after the birth of his daughter Lindsey, Mark found himself the intended victim of an attempted carjacking while approaching a traffic light on E. Fletcher Ave. in the Suitcase City section of Tampa, FL at 6:20 am on his way to work.  A well known drug and crime infested area bordering the University of South Florida, Mark passed through the area every day.  Luckily on that November morning he was carrying a Glock 36, 45 caliber handgun resting in a Sidearmor Kydex IWB holster.  When the criminals… both of them…found themselves unable to get into the vehicle stopped just off of his left bumper, they turned their attention to him.

Watching the frightening events unfold in front of him and happening at a frantic pace, Mark un-holstered his weapon and leveled his 45 at the criminal standing just feet away from him and approaching his vehicle.  When confronted with a gun pointed directly at his chest, the closest attacker waved off his partner and both men retreated to their vehicle.  Fleeing like the cowards they were, Mark was able to make it home alive that day.

That frightening experience became the subject of his first column with Concealed Carry Magazine titled “The Importance of Carrying Your Gun 100% of The Time”, now listed as one of Concealed Carry Magazines “Best of”.

Since that time, Mark writes about ordinary folks like you and I who have used a weapon to defend themselves as well as interviewing some of the nations biggest news makers and activists.  The list includes rock stars, country singers, radio personalities, national and local politicians, TV stars, internationally recognized trainers, weapons experts, criminal psychologists, television hosts, authors, real people who have used a firearm to defend themselves against violent attack and regular, ordinary folks who make a difference.

Mark was one of the headline speakers at the Second Amendment March in Washington, DC on April 19th, 2010 joining other guests such as Suzanna Hupp, Sheriff Mack, Dick Heller, Mancow, and others who proudly proclaimed the birthright of every American to keep and bear arms.  He has appeared numerous times as a guest on local and national radio shows including a co-hosting appearance on the nationally syndicated G. Gordon Liddy show.  In addition, Mark was a recent guest on Fox Businees Channel’s The Stossel Show, with John Stossel to discuss the topic of More Guns, Less Crime and appears weekly as a guest on the popular live web TV program, American Trigger Sports Network with host James Towle to discuss the right to self-defense every Wednesday afternoon at www.atsn.tv.

Mark is a member of the NRA, an NRA Certified Instructor in three disciplines, a member of the National Shooting Sports Foundation as well as a card carrying member of GeorgiaCarry.org, the Gun Owners of America and a vocal 2nd amendment activist.   In the spare time of his “real life,” he ran his own successful business for over 13 years and now works full time to bring you Armed American Radio.

Mark defends our freedoms on AAR with the RIGHT voice at the RIGHT time and brings a frank discussion of the right to defend your life to FREEDOM loving Americans EVERY week.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 134, originally published in April 2013.

Dr. Robert Young, co-author with his wife, Shelley, of The pH Miracle: Balance Your Diet, Reclaim Your Health, joins Jason Hartman to discuss the biology of the human body at the cellular level. Dr. Young explains the importance of alkaline balance and provides examples of environmental and man-made situations that shift this balance. One example is a comparison of an alkaline battery and the human body – the human body is an electrical being that runs on electrical energy, which we derive from our environment and foods. When the acid in the body is out of balance, we become sick, depressed, or tired. A buildup of acid causes the body to shut down. Dr. Young offers answers to correcting the pH level in the body that will help neutralize the acids that are continually produced, such as lactic acid and uric acid.

Over the past two and a half decades, Robert O. Young has been widely recognized as one of the top research scientists in the world. Throughout his career, his research has been focused at the cellular level. Having a specialty in cellular nutrition, Dr. Young has devoted his life to researching the true causes of "disease," subsequently developing "The New Biology™" to help people balance their life. His research has been published in several noted journals, and he is the author and co-author of many books, including The pH Miracle and Back to the House of Health. In addition, Dr. Young has been honored with an invitation to sit on the Vegetarian  and Fasting Committee for NASA's earth and space missions. He also currently works with a team of research scientists at the University of Puerto Rico, as well as the Center of Diabetes in Puerto Rico, on a potential cure for Type I and Type II diabetes. Dr. Young is a member of the Farm Bureau (Membership number C118341) as well as a recognized certified Avocado grower by the California Avocado Commission. Dr. Young is also a member of the American Association for Cancer Research. Dr. Young is a member of the American Society of Microbiologists, the American Naturopathic Association, and an honorary member of the Connecticut Holistic Health Association, the Presidents Council at Brigham Young University, a consultant for InnerLight, Inc., and an advisor to Dean Lawrence Carter at the Martin Luther King Chapel at Morehouse College. [15:57] "It's crucially clear that, when you have a $20 trillion national debt, that interest rates can't rise too much"

[19:48] Why Jason hates hedonic indexes

[23:39] There's a lot of inflation that we either don't see or we don't acknowledge

[28:12] A 2% higher rate of inflation is magic for maintaining financial solvency

[31:23] When everyone learned that stocks were the magic wealth building machine they bid the prices of stocks so high the dividends crashed, which ruined the wealth creation

[34:02] Daniel is a huge fan, not of income property, but of the mortgage

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 127, originally published in March 2013.

Jason Hartman is joined on this episode by Pasha Roberts, creator of the upcoming movie, “Silver Circle.” Pasha Roberts is the founder of an animation studio outside of Boston, Lineplot Productions. He is currently Director of its major production underway, Silver Circle. Lineplot began as an animation studio that provided 3D graphics to explain complicated economic situations to their corporate clients. Then they decided to take the creative route, creating an animated movie set in the future of hyperinflation and the collapse of the Central Banks. Pasha and Jason discuss several of the facets of the movie, including government seizure of commodities, such as precious metals and property, and freezing accounts. Pasha explains that once trust in the system is lost, there is no regaining it, and one likely scenario is a rebellion, with citizens taking matters into their own hands.

Silver Circle is a film set in 2019 after a severe economic collapse. A group of Rebels are devising a plan to take down the culprit of this economic calamity, the Federal Reserve. One way they fight the Fed is through competition...they mint their own silver underground to disperse in the community in hopes to make the dollar obsolete. It is all wrapped into a love story that unfolds as an investigator from the Fed meets a Rebel and has to choose which side he is on. Their mission is to entertain and educate, and no, you don't have to be well-versed in economics to enjoy the film.

Pasha holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Russian Studies from The College of William and Mary, and a Masters of Science in Financial Engineering from the MIT Sloan School of Management. In addition to his MIT degree, his background includes twenty years of software development and successful entrepreneurship experience.

As a person who loves mathematics, graphic design, and liberty, Pasha’s corporate experience has molded him into a creative machine who believes using media and art to convey messages of social change can succeed.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 110, published in October 2012.

Throughout our life, we often experience “aha” moments of truth and clarity, but why don’t those moments of clarity last? In this 10th show, Jason Hartman’s guest, Elisha Goldstein, PhD, author of The Now Effect: How a Mindful Moment Can Change the Rest of Your Life, explored the reasons and asked the question, “What if an awareness of that space, that moment, could change the rest of your life?” Elisha explains that what we practice and repeat becomes habit. Our brain is wired to routine and to the negative. By becoming aware of automatic thoughts and processes, we can stop them and make different choices. The space in which this awareness happens, Elisha refers to as “choice points.” Practicing and repeating new and positive choices, such as compassion and kindness, creates new habits of thinking. Elisha elaborates on how this process works in the brain. He also discusses intuition and provides some basic practices to help rewire our brains to make our intuition more reliable, to make better choices, and how to become grounded in the here and now and learning to recognize the good in any given moment. For more details, listen at: www.HolisticSurvival.com.

Elisha Goldstein, Ph.D. is in private practice in West Los Angeles and is author of the book The Now Effect: How This Moment Can Change the Rest of Your Life and co-author of A Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Workbook, foreword by Jon Kabat-Zinn. He synthesizes the pearls of traditional psychotherapy with a progressive integration of mindfulness to achieve mental and emotional healing. He contends that we have the power to transform our traumas and habitual patterns that keep us stuck in perpetual cycles of stress, anxiety, depression, or addiction and step into greater freedom and peace. He offers practical strategies to calm our anxious minds, transform negative emotions, and facilitate greater self-acceptance, freedom and inner peace

Dr. Goldstein, who comes from a family of psychologists, advocates that mental health comes from an approach that looks at all aspects of the self – physical, mental, emotional and even spiritual. As a licensed Psychologist, he teaches mindfulness-based programs in his own practice and through InsightLA. He has spoken at the UCLA Mindfulness and Psychotherapy Conference headlining Thich Nhat Hanh, Daniel Siegel, and Jack Kornfield, The NICABM Conference, Psychotherapy Networker, FACES Conferences, UCLA Semel Institute and Anxiety Disorder Clinic, the University of Washington with Dr. Alan Marlatt, and often hosts daylong courses atUCLA Extension. He is author of the popular Mindfulness and Psychotherapy Blog on Psychcentral.com and writes for the Huffington Post, Mindful.org and Mentalhelp.net. He has designed the 12-week Mindfulness at Work™ program that is currently being conducted in many mulinational corporations and has been published in The Journal of Clinical Psychologyand quoted in the New York Daily News, Reuters, NPR, UCLA Today, Examiner.com,Beliefnet.com, Body & Soul, The Week Magazine, among others. In addition to his books, he has created popular CDs and MP3 albums including Mindful Solutions for Stress, Anxiety and Depression, Mindful Solutions for Addiction and Relapse Prevention, Mindful Solutions for Success and Stress Reduction at Work, and Mindful Solutions for Adults with ADD/ADHD.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 123, from January 2013.

It’s a fact – many people suffer a mid-life crisis between the ages of 40 and 60. It is a transition period during which one realizes their life may be half over and they reflect on their accomplishments in life, their regrets, and what they would still like to do. Jason Hartman interviews author, Michael Cosgrove, who endured what he called a three-quarter life crisis at the age of 60 that led to his book, Imperfect Passage. Michael had a great life that he had worked hard to achieve – a beautiful family, a successful career, and a lovely home in southern California with views of the Pacific Ocean. But Michael was not taking to the idea of old age well. He wanted to establish a legacy for his family and decided to “shake things up” by embarking on a long and dangerous adventure to attempt to sail around the world.

Michael was not prepared for the rigors of such an adventure and suffered many hardships and mental and emotional stress, including a dangerous crew member with a personality disorder. Michael talks about the biggest surprise that came from this attempt, the psychological impact. On the ocean, he noted, you lose all of your control, which required him to adapt to the environmental conditions and get a grip on his attitude.  As Michael says, “You can’t change the direction of the wind, but you can adjust your sails.” Another lesson he learned was to recognize the difference between a temporary inconvenience and a real problem. Listen at:  www.HolisticSurvival.com for more about Michael’s rough voyage that ultimately led to some of the best lessons about life. Michael Cosgrove earned his BS from Michigan State University and his Masters in psychology from Western Michigan University. He has been a teacher, a coach, a psychologist (MA), a model and an actor. For the past 32 years, he has been masquerading as an insurance agent. The writing process for his book was an emotional experience for him because he has always battled debilitating Dyslexia. First, he hears the words in his head, then feels them in his heart, and they come out of his fingertips onto the keys of his computer. His hope is that his message in Imperfect Passage will add value to the lives of his readers. He realized it’s not about him, or the book, but what he can offer the audience as a result of his experience. He hopes the readers will find meaning in the power of success, as well as the lessons of defeat.

Jason Hartman talks with Congressman Dr. Paul Broun about what's going on in Washington in regards to policy and the constitutionality of it all. This was recorded prior to the GOP Tax Reform bill passing, but Dr. Broun is a proponent of a tax system that's more in line with a flat tax.

The two discuss the irrational belief people have that the marketplace won't react to actions the government takes, as well as why the corporate tax rate needs to be reduced (and who that ultimately helps). They also discuss how to make change actually happen, and whether getting rid of the federal income tax is feasible and if it'd be harmful for the economy on the whole.

Key Takeaways:

[2:52] The major principle of most politicians is re-election

[6:10] It's unrealistic to think that people are going to stop voting for things that are in their immediate best interest

[13:05] Many people seem to not think about the fact that the marketplace reacts

[17:00] Corporations don't actually pay the corporate tax, it's the consumer who bears the weight

[22:36] Making change happen is very hard, everything has been going to the left for at least 50 years. Paul wants to get rid of a lot of federal departments

[26:05] Would getting rid of the federal income tax and moving to a sales tax harm the overall US economy?

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 102, from August 2012.

Jason Hartman interviews returning guest, Devin Foley on the subject of environment versus ecology and the ideology versus reality behind the environmental movement. The term “environmentalism” is a popular word today with a broad meaning. There are many components to environmentalism, such as conservation, ecology, human impact on nature, and maybe lesser known, a philosophical/spiritual component. Devin and Jason talk about the impact large corporations have on the environment, how competition from the little guys cleaning up their waste have pushed corporations to take care of their own pollutants, lack of enforcement of regulations by the government, and the top-down, often selective, bureaucratic management of the EPA. Devin points out that our air is much cleaner today than it would have been in the 1800s and earlier, when nearly every household was burning wood, and later coal, to heat and cook. Advanced technology today has changed things for the better, even though there is still a high level of concern. Jason and Devin also talk about the philosophy of deep ecology and extreme environmentalists that consider humans to be the problem and what these groups are really implying.

Devin is co-founder and president of Intellectual Takeout. In his role, he oversees content development and marketing, works with academics and experts to assure quality, and publicly promotes the site. Prior to co-founding Intellectual Takeout, Devin served as the Director of Development at the Center of the American Experiment, a state-based think tank in Minnesota, where he was responsible for meeting a $1 million annual budget. He has roughly eight years of fundraising and policy experience working for candidates and non-profit organizations. Additionally, he has been on 100.3 KTLK as well as Talk of the Nation on NPR and was named a 2011 Young Leader by the American Swiss Foundation. Devin studied history and political science at Hillsdale College in Michigan. There he met his lovely wife; together they have three kids and live in Stillwater, Minnesota. Devin enjoys fast cars, long drives, great books, old planes, and nearly everything life throws his way.

Jason Hartman talks with John Ziegler, conservative columnist, investigative reporter, commentator and documentary filmmaker. Today the two are discussing fake news, and how it's being used by politicians by Trump but also news outlets in general.

The two also discuss the liberal nature of media in general, the ESPN scandal, how Trump was elected, and what impact that's had on the Republican party.

Key Takeaways:

[2:33] Why the fake news concept has taken off

[5:00] The mainstream media might be the most targeted for "fake news", but Twitter/Facebook/Google might be the biggest threat to free speech & real news

[9:48] What went on in the ESPN scandal

[13:09] The #1 thing every person should understand about the media

[15:30] Trump could only happen because everyone was scared of losing their job at Fox News, so they jumped on the bandwagon

[18:20] Trump has fractured the Republican party, and whether Trump will turn Democrat in the 2nd half of his term

[21:12] The economy hasn't had a pullback in a long time, which is unprecedented, but many anecdotal tells are suggesting people have more disposable income than you'd think
